Would you use the same tips when negotiating salary from a temporary/contract role to being offered full-time permanent position? I would think it puts you in a better position because they already know your value to the company if you’ve been there a few months and they offer you a permanent role

Hi, Initially i have quoted less salary and now when i am doing market research, i am feeling i have asked low salary Also, HR said that she won’t raise the salary even after i said i have another offers in pipeline It’s verbal discussion So, Is there any way i can negotiate before i receive written offer?

omg this is so bad a sign on bonus is crap sure it can bridge the gap for year 1, but what about year 2 or year 10?? and reviews?? of COURSE they're going to say yes to that because there's ZERO obligation for them! They're just going to tell you, at the review time, that there's no money in the budget or whatever If you get a written guarantee of a pay raise if you hit some metrics or whatever, that's one thing but just "hey do you do reviews for potential pay raises?" they're just going to tell you yes and be glad they don't have to meet your salary requirements

ehhhhhhh some things aren't negotiable I've had companies say they had flat policies regarding things like 401k, PTO, and holidays and they can't change it for individual employees These were very large companies like Cisco and Boeing, so it might be different for small companies, but some major corporations, some things are just non negotiable

Hope anyone is able to help me out herebrbrI recently applied for 2 jobs, same position, different companies I will name the companies C1 and C2brI was interviewed by C1 and C2 in a short time period of two weeks C2 knows I've been in an interview with C1, sadly I got declined by C1 later on Luckily C2 has decided to continue with me, and has already talked to my references C2 is not aware I got declined by C1, for all they know, i can still be in the progress with C1brI was really hoping for a second interview and a job offer from both of them in order to gain leverage, but that didn't go as planned :/brMy concern is that I do not have any leverage, and even worse, C2 knows I'm unemployed as they asked during the interview if I could start right awaybr(The devil on my shoulder is telling me to lie to C2 that I actually got a job offer from C1, to hopefully increase C2s interest in me, but also push C2s progress)brbrI feel its really hard to negotiate when I have no leverage, as beggars cant be choosersbrIts really important for me to be able to negotiate a higher salary as I have to move cities, get an apartment, a car and a lot of inventory in general Its gonna be very expensive They are very aware I need to move cities, and that its a big commitmentbrbrWe should always negotiate, but how can I negotiate something, when I'm a beggar with no leverage with no other alternativebrThey can easily give me the lowest offer, as they know I'm unemployed, and kind of have to accept Salary for this type of job ranges from 50-150k a yearbrbrI want to add something at the end of this comment that may be of importance Both companies are hiring for positions in the "blue" "red" and "yellow" departmentbrThis specific job is for the "blue" position However, i do have split background with decent experience in all the departments This was my main selling point during the interviewbrI can easily adapt and step in other positions in order to help out the company As of now, the company requires 3 people for 3 different positions, I can do all of the jobs with semi-confidencebrbrThoughts on this issue?

Just found this video I have a somewhat different amount of bargaining power than most I'm a retired veteran who have certain benefits already for me and my family Have you ever heard a negotiation where an individual relinquishes a certain benefit or two for increased base salary potential? For example I have healthcare for me and my family for life, is it feasible to negotiate the drop of potential health care benefits for an increase in salary - or bump in another employer provided benefit?

Maam I worked as a operations manager in an engineering college for 4 years where I was given salary in hand (Direct cash), no pf was providedbrbrbrAfter that I resigned , and opted for a work from home job as business development associate , why because I was away from my family for seven yearsbrbrAfter working for 2 months , I took a long leave for 14 months , why because we purchased a land which was under a dispute , I filed a court case , hearing took some time, we won the case , again resold the same land, purchased new land , constructed a new home So it took quite a timebrbrNow I have an interview for the post of operations managerbrbrHow to convey this all during Salary negotiationbrbrWill I still be able to crack the jobbrbrFew questions are brbr1) in my 1st company they didn't provide any pf and they used to give salary in hand ( Direct cash)brbr2) how should I answer to hr if they ask me about my pay slips of my 1st jobbrbrCurrently I'm in my second job as (BDA) brbrnow I have an interview for the third job (assistant operations manager)brbrWhat documents they will ask , and how should I answer brbrWill it affect my salary negotiation

Interesting video, thanks for the tips!brbrMay I add that in this as well as any other negotiation, after you try once of twice to bump the price and they are refusing or just slightly increasing their offer, that a good technique is to politely leave the negotiation table and tell them you will need to think about it and reply later In your scenario, that would happen when they offered 70k and didn't want to bump it up any furtherbrbrbrAfter leaving the negotiation table and not calling them back for a couple of days, this will make it clear to them that you are not desparate and are possibly evaluating other offers and this will bring in front of them the ugly scenario you talk about starting the whole process again, something they definitely dont want to dobrbrThis sets the table for a last try to get what you want with better chances, or at least achieve something in between

Thank you sooo much for this wonderful video!brNow, let's put aside this fantasy world and return to the harsh reality:brDo NOT make any attempt to negotiate once an offer is made Any resistance and HR will drop you like you like a bad habit and move on to a more appreciative applicantbrAlways remember: the Job Seeker is at the mercy of the company If you want and need the job, readily agree to whatever they offer That's the best advice!

Lao-Gs G spot
I have only had one company rescind a job offer, and it was after a month of back and fourth regarding intellectual property rights HR team wanted to allow me to amend my contract to identify previous inventions as my ip, while the contract stated that everything I had worked on prior and during employment is their intellectual property I even knew the CEO as I was in a joint discord group with him, and we'd speak often When it got sent to their lawyer, they took personal offense and refused to make any changes, which forced them to rescind the offer brbrIn hindsight, this even being a problem was kind of insane, likely very uncommon situation

HR: "What is your salary expectation" brCandidate: $10k to $12k a month brHR: You are the best fit for the role but I'm afraid we can't afford you brCandidate: Okay $4k would be fine brHR: How soon can you start? brMeanwhile, the budget for the particular role is $10k HR feels like they did a great job in salary negotiation and management will be happy they cut costs for the organization brThe new employee starts and notices the pay disparity brGuess what happens? Dissatisfaction Disengagement Disloyalty brTwo months later, the employee leaves the organization for a better job The recruitment process starts all over again This leads to further costs and performance gaps within the team and organization brIn order to attract and retain top talent br"PLEASE PAY PEOPLE WHAT THEY ARE WORK FOR"
