@BrittanyHayles I'm going through a second interview this Monday for a new position with a different company In my first interview I was told immediately that the salary for the role is set at $50k and wasn't moveable I've been considering negotiating a sign on bonus and paid and unpaid vacation The new position is going to be an hour one way for me And extremely early in the morning (to wake up and leave to get there) I'm planning to move soon (not for the job) and it might cut the commute down by 15 minutes potentially The role is a Sales Coordinator in the state of Maryland Originally the title was a "Move-In Coordinator" however they changed the title to Sales Coordinator, which sounds better I do want to ask sometime in the second interview with the second interviewer about salary negotiation, sign on bonus and paid vacation, and negotiate these things when it becomes appropriate Is there a good rule of thumb for negotiating sign on bonuses!? I thought of $1,500 to $2,000 And, I've wanted maybe 4 weeks of paid vacation ( these if the salary doesn't have any wiggle room) Secondly, is it silly to negotiate paid as well as unpaid vacation time in the negotiation portion of things!? How do you word it in the email when they’ve not offered equity (they’re a 2 yr old start up), personal growth sponsorship or stipend, or sign on bonus? I’m pleased with the salary offered I’ve also recently been laid off and would like to build severance agreement into job offer Comment from : Melissa |
