btw in the MSF course when they first have u apply throttle they had me apply gas a bit of gas BEFORE starting to release so we wouldn't worry about movement of the throttle while moving already Comment from : Isosta |

Honestly, one of the actual hardest parts for me during the MSF course was getting the damn bike in neutral "Half a click" makes sense in your head, but actually getting that instead of accidentally going into second is a lot different It got to the point where sometimes I'd just start it in first and keep the clutch held in Comment from : TotemoGaijin |
His face literally mimics my own when I rode a bike for the first time 😂 Comment from : TheMuzillajeff |

I am currently learning how to ride on my moms old honda twinstar I have minor experience on a dirtbike as a kid but don't remember anything Two days into training, the first of which was spent stalling, I am able to efficiently start and get to second gear on the long driveway Most of the reason I was having such a problem the first day was my nerves, I knew what to do but my body just kinda didn't do it Second day was told "just ride it" and they handed me the keys and went inside leaving me by myself Nailed the first start without stalling and didn't stall for the rest of the time spent riding back and forth on the gravel road I was told before i started "It's easy, once you get it, you won't have any problems and it will just click" Truer words have never been spoken Just hoping when the time comes to hit the asphalt it's the same story Comment from : Horny Ducks |
That very first day on two wheels is very special, man I remember when I first rode a 125cc and I thought "man this pulls hard!" I remember the fear, the connection I inmediately felt to the bike, the excitement All those feelings came back watching this You will only have a first time so it always will be special, and sharing it with others makes it even more special too Great video Pappa Yams 💙 Comment from : Mr Phoskitos |

What makes this so much fun is knowing that US guys mostly don't have experience with manual gearboxes in cars before learning it on the motorcycle, which makes learning to operate a motorcycle so much harder for them Comment from : grandma_moses |

Y'all should totally do an episode on how dangerous scooters are for motorcyclists Once Upon a Time my ex-wife had this 2stroke 50cc Yamaha Faggio(GTA Name for Vespa) and I was trotting around town, testing it out I came up to a protected left hand turn at an intersection, the arrow turned yellow as I was entering the intersection, so I "gunned" it and leaned into the turn as one might a sportbike, the asphalt caught the edge of the wide base plate of the scooter, and ripped it out from under me and we slid across the intersection with cars going in crap I think I scared the little lady behind me cuz she was Jaw dropped and just stopped in the intersection just starring at me after jump back up in Adrenaline induced rage, bloodied on my left side of my body from road with clothes in tatters, lifted the faggio above my head and threw it off the road I think faggios are the most dangerous motorcycles! |
I don't know if it is common, but on my older Ninja 250, if you were stopped, and in first, it would not let you go past neutral, making it super easy to get there You could still half click down from second, or go there from first while moving, but you didn't have to search for it I took the MSF, and often remember searching for neutral, usually wasn't super hard, but took longer since you had to do it slowly IIRC the easy feature was called "positive neutral finder" Comment from : Xeridea |

Did he die at the end? Comment from : Politically Incorrect Brian |
Mountain biking and biking on trails in my opinion is the best training for riding motorcycles Idk, it's probably embedded on my muscle memory on how to handle two wheels on gnarly terrains and it definitely helped my handling skills, and once I sat on a motorcycle, the only thing I had to learn is how to shift properly Comment from : type7 |
PFFT the busa scene at the end Comment from : RAT |
