Tristen Williams
I’ve had five motorcycles now, just bought the fifth But each time I’ve wrecked it, it blew up, or wasn’t the right time financially, so I’ve only accumulated about 8 months of riding time in five years I didn’t realize how bad I am at riding fast until I rode with my bro in the mountains, he was on a dirt bike but completely left me (and my fancy Aprilia) in the dust This video is super helpful! Hoping to start some beginner track days soon

Brandon Meagher
I’m a little confused why you want to quickly throttle when downshifting Could someone please elaborate? Is it so the engine doesn’t rev high on its own all of a sudden as forcefully?
Comment from : Brandon Meagher

Dougie Quick
More like "tips to ROAD RACE like o a pro" lol as "riding" covers a lot of folks that ought not to be thinking like this AT ALL lol lots of "pros" other than road racers Anyone that rides for their livelyhood qualifies as a "pro" several other genres of racing even that some or most of this wont apply to plus journalists, moto bloggers, tour guides, instructors, couriers etc etc ,just saying just being all technical
Comment from : Dougie Quick

Ian Margetts
What about the none pretending gp riders? The normal ones
Comment from : Ian Margetts

BackwoodBandit
Bad A lot of riders don’t have the technology you do in that s1000 😂 show how to do this on a real classic like an 04-05 GSX-R600 Maybe even a few late R6-100 models for Yamaha
Comment from : BackwoodBandit

Michael Scott
You erred in your title Please change it to reflect that you are talking about RACING ON THE TRACKbrThis is nothing to do with motorcycle "riding" It's racing tips Please clarify so that idiots don't take your "tips" to the streetbrThank you!

New rider here, just getting into track and racing, and wow ur tips are actually so helpful! I will definitely use these when i’m at my next track day!
Comment from : John Matthews

Gino Asci
the part about braking with one or two fingers to me doesn’t make sense because you can do any with the throttle when braking so it doesn’t matter how many fingers you use because your hand has to be lined up with the brake lever to squeeze itbrif your hand is too far up you can’t grab the brake and if your hand is down that means you’re accelerating and there’s no need for brakingbrjust my two centsbri’m not a pro by any means, just love bikesbrgood video, much appreciated !
Comment from : Gino Asci

I used to never use my rear brake back when I used to race I let a friend ride my bike one time and he used the rear brake and it got stuck so bad he couldn't finish the lap I guess today with all the anti lock brakes it's probably good to learn how to use them 👍 great video
Comment from : Richard Branton

google Limp
I'm sorry to be horrible but ive never used a clutch, right now I'm playing with a 1999 R6 only time I use a clutch is to pull off and to stop at lights, I've been on I don't know how many bikes over my life and same on never used them just got to learn the revs do drop down a gear on the way up gear don't matter

This was well done sir U got my subscripton I ride and 2013 R6 and especially that rate broke advice I understand why ur dad ddnt want u to use it But with my 2020 r6 I understand why u are kinda passed with him The traction at the rear control present u from losing traction when braking
Comment from : David King

Zarko Divkovic
Top tips💪💪💪✌️✌️✌️👍👍👍
Comment from : Zarko Divkovic

Steven Delagarde
I grew up riding dirtbikes so it was muscle memory to leave one finger on each lever The only way i could unlearn that was to brake with the last 3 fingers and leave the pointer on the throttle
Comment from : Steven Delagarde

SirJamestheIII
There definitely some corners where a beginner might find that they are understeering more than they’d like and can be almost frustrating when it doesn’t feel like an over speed thing Those are the corners where it’s good to maybe start experimenting trail braking with the rear brakebrbrAlso I find it’s generally safer to space downshifts more at high speed, but by the same token you’re less likely to lock your rear by downshifting closer together at low speed where some engine braking may provide additional performance But it’s best to feel that out per corner and only experiment with it an increment at a time rather than as a general rule
Comment from : SirJamestheIII

old man strength
12:21 0 throttle??? there would be no gyroscopic force with 0 throttle dragging a knee in a sweeper
Comment from : old man strength

Phil 65

John Daroza
I just understand the trans down shifts just don't let off the throttle the RPM's will match the down gear Sequential transmissionbrElbow out grab the throttle Try itbrBreaking is a skill that must be learned Takes a good 5 years brYes look into the turn look where you want to go Years to learn this toobrRead books to help you understand what the bike will do when to start breaking when to gas it out of a turn Smooth is fast
Comment from : John Daroza

Harley
foot positioning and being afraid to lean the bike in were what really got me on my first track day, I scraped my toe along the track and almost high sided myself from the rebound and it scared me to go for angle again, I advise to really really learn body position by going slow around the track and just focusing on form, did wonders
Comment from : Harley

Do racers user extra padding to lift their helmets up? I've been trying to flatten myself out lately but I'm getting to the stage where my the top of my visor opening is starting to block my vision A while back I noticed Marquez's helmet seemed to sit fairly high around his chin level
