I Was totally shocked- that the Fender paramount you demo'd didnt totally, totally, totally Suck like almost all Fender Acoustics do! I would have lliked to hear the last Martin you talked about will have to watch out for it in another video i liked the taylor auditorium version too it had a really nice sound Comment from : Torn |
What would you suggest for a singer songwriter, heavy strumming hand occasionally finger picking Baritone singer Looking to record and I want the sound to be thick! Not boomy, the guitar I currently have resonates at around a horrible 230ish hz bsomewhere between boomyness and boxyness/b I want the sound to be really warm and multi purposed, I'm currently thinking about the epiphone humming bird pro 🤷 I want presence without that 4k poking an eye out Im sick of over processing my acoustic in a mix and not getting that solid acoustic guitar tone we all know and love in those classic records Comment from : Chris heaton |
You must be supported by Fender There are so many better guitars in this price range it makes this very obvious It also ruins your credibility Comment from : Steadfastly |
haha, love how you are really careul when you say "negra", but really sloppy saying "Córdoba" Great review btw :) Comment from : Oscar Alonso |
Martin PLEASE stop making HPL guitars they sound worse than most $20000 guitars out there Comment from : Luis Medina |

What do you think about the Washburn COMFORT see is Both good points and not so good Comment from : Steve Majors |

Great video; To me the most of fun of playing guitar is shopping around for a new one I didn't notice any Breedlove or Seagull models although you might have shown them on another video I recently went guitar shopping after being away from the guitar for almost ten years! I compared a lot of guitars from Taylor, Gibson, Martin, Breedlove and Seagull I am in the sort of mid range at guitar not a novice but somewhere between beginner and advanced maybe intermediate level of player and mid price range of say $700 up to to $2,500 so a lot of choices - I have studied a lot of the differences over the years in guitar makes and models; construction etc and after comparing a lot of guitars I felt that the Breedlove and Seagull offered the most bang for your buck where Taylors, Martins and Gibson's for example while they all make some of the world's finest guitars 1- have too many models/designs to choose from 2- have too huge of a price range so there are a lot of low end models thrown into the mix as well as a lot on the high end making it a difficult choice and 3 - have too high of a price tag on many models for various reasons unless you have money to burn (which of course is fine for some players but not the average working or learning musician) Also note that I focused my search mainly on US and Canadian manufacturer's as I was not in the market for foreign even though most of the US low end models are foreign made anyway designs and plans etc come from from their US factories I felt there was a slight value edge to buying US and or Canadian made (perhaps Canadian made even more so as they seem to be able to keep their prices down while still offering the same or similar craftsmanship and quality of materials as many high end US guitars That said; Yamaha, Takamine and Ibanez among others also offer great values if that is what you are looking for I did by the way pick up a Breedlove Organic Cutaway and Seagull S6 with electronics, staying well in the low end price range, while the Breedlove not made in the US sells around $700 USD, I felt the price difference was a good trade off for a US model (which was my original intent) and the Seagull was made in Canada and a very solid, well put together piece of machinery The Seagull btw was used although you could not tell and only cost me $289 USD - I have also had a nice Cordoba GK which cost around $700 which I recently gave to my niece; a very nice guitar as well if your looking for nylon/classical or flamenco style guitars I was btw highly disappointed with my old favorite standard - Guild in the $900 range and also the the acoustic PRS Angelus about $100 if I recall I did not feel their quality was worth anywhere near their price tags as the action was very high and hard to play on the higher frets especially and the bindings and other materials seemed almost ready to separate Maybe it's just me but they did not feel like quality was a priority, maybe looks as the PRS is gorgeous with all the bird inlays and bindings etc but they not excude quality of design, sound or playability and craftsmanship as far as woods/tone etc in my opinion, not for the price tag anyway Thanks again, I will have to look for more videos, hopefully you will put out some instructional videos on you tube as well! Have to say upfront that I love all of Alamo Music's videos There's no way in Hades that a Fender Paramount would cost anywhere near $2500 guitar if it were made in the US this video was made in 2016, and at that time a $2500 pricing would've made the Fender paramount more expensive than a Martin D-28, or a Gibson J-45 or Hummingbird, or a Taylor 814 We're talking about an Asian-made guitar that comes with a mid-line (at best) pickup and a thick poly finish (with sound to match) even in the 2021 used market isn't valued at more than $350-450 Clearly that's a ludicrous comparison Comment from : deanc99 |
