I REALLY like the sound of the Yamaha, for a lovely rich tone where some of the others can sound flat I'd definitely try out a Yammy before other makes Comment from : Craig |
Between the Martin Jr and Taylor GSMini, I think the Taylor has a fuller and more intricate sound than the Martin However, despite the fact that the GSMini doesn't come with a pickup and is higher in price than the Martin Jr, I would choose the Martin Jr over the Taylor Comment from : OldzerHuman |
Where was the Eastman? Comment from : Tom D |

My own feelings on each guitar's sounds from best to worst, take them with a grain of salt as I am a nobody lol:brbr#1: Fender CD-60 I loved how warm and balanced it sounded, it didn't ring too bright but also didn't neglect any bass response, which is shocking since I don't hold Fender acoustics in very high regard This is the one I would pick as a singer/songwriter personally brbr#2: Yamaha FSX800 Another surprise for me as I don't typically like Yamaha guitars, this one also sounded very well balanced, but with a bit more focus on the high end than the Fender, the voice on this one impressed me considering how thin it is and I think it'd be a great all around gigging instrumentbrbr#3: Martin Junior It SHOCKED me how big of a voice that little guitar has, and it truly does sound like a Martin to my ears With big boomy bass (for the size) and well-balanced mids with decent highs, this would be a great guitar for old-school country and rockabillybrbr#4: Both Taylors These both tie here for me at fourth place, they sounded fairly sterile to my ear and that's not necessarily a bad thing, if you like the Taylor signature sound, both of these certainly give it to you at a low price and I feel these would be good guitars for beginners but I don't find either to be particularly sonically interesting brbr#5: Ibanez AEWC32FM This is easily the worst sounding guitar of the bunch for me acoustically (they didn't demo its electronics but knowing Ibanez, I'm positive it sounds good plugged in), it's muffled and flat sounded, very muted It's almost like listening to an acoustic guitar with your head under water, however having played similar models before, I know that they do make excellent acoustic lead guitars for anyone looking to get into acoustic lead, just be sure to plug them in or you won't hear them over the rhythm section Comment from : Brian McCullar Music |

I'm very late to the party, but thanks for an excellent, fun comparison video I wasn't even aware of the Martin 000cjr-10 I love that it has a 175" neck combined with all solid wood! I won't buy a Taylor because the more affordable ones all have the narrow nut width, and I just won't pay the price they want for a Taylor with a 175" width Comment from : waynzwhirled |
The Yamaha and the Martin sound great While not the same, I've had a Martin Dreadnought Jre for just over two years and it is an excellent guitar; it sounds good, is versatile and very comfortable Comment from : Scoggers |

I enjoyed the demo of how they all sound Personally i thought the Yamaha sounds the best! I really want to love the Ibanez because of it's modern look and I'm a big fan of a guitar that's easy to play, but it definitely sounds a bit thin :( I might opt for it anyways Planning on buying a guitar very soon Comment from : Uplift-Your Daily Pickup |

Just recently I bought the Yamaha FSX800C in Natural and man, its serious guitar for the money I had to get the action lowered a little bit but out of the box factory setup strings and sound is exceptional Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable guitar Pickups are also great plugged-in Comment from : Eric David |

How Breedlove organic acoustic guitars didn't make this list is absolutely mind boggling I played on several Martins & Taylor's guitars in the 800 and 159999 price range and the Breedlove absolutely without a doubt sounded better I bought the Breedlove Wildwood Organic Concerto electric acoustic with an all mahogany body that listed for 65000 for 51999 Breedlove is the only acoustic company that uses computer analytics testing to make their guitars String through bridge and natural bone nut Their brace work and fret work is also phenomenal My opinion is that both Martin and Taylor are way overpriced and your paying for the name brand Comment from : pete detraglia |
Great advice there Cooper at the end of the video In fact great job both of you Comment from : Clifford Gwekwe |

Normally with these videos that compare multiple guitars Im focused entirely on the sound of each guitar to determine how they differ and which I feel sounds best to mein this case I got lost in Cooper's great playing and had to watch it a 2nd time to find the guitar tone favorites!
