Hi, great video! For a newbie, if making an end table, for example, where would be a good place to sell them? I know there are places like Etsy, yet I’m guessing shipping charges would be quite high if shipping them to a buyer…?

May I ask where your area is? My daughter is in her 1st year of college at Lyon College in Batesville, AR and she has fostered an interest in woodworking and teaching archery for side hustles since she is 17 and most jobs only hire at age 18 We have most all the tools except joiner and I can teach what I know but was hoping she could reach out with questions Love your videos; thank you, and God Bless!

I would like to add, you can try asking any local construction site supers if they mind you taking the scrap lumber, they would pay to dump Most might say no but if only one says yes you could save hundreds and keep it from going to the dump

No argument on these projects I've made and sold a few of my own designs of these projects All are reasonably easy to make For me the biggest issue is inventory I have no space for inventory So everything I make is already a customer piece I charge half down right up front and the rest at delivery That way I can guarantee the material is covered Worse case scenario which knock on wood has yet to happen Is someone backing out I make sure that they understand the initial deposit is non-refundable unless they want raw materials No one generally would want raw materials, so I don't sweat that one If they did back out I would consider finishing it and trying to sell it anyway or potentially negotiating a discounted sale price and losing some options I don't want inventory

I gotta say my father in law is a vet and a very crafty woodworker on the side and I don’t know if he’s ever built a dog kennel That one you show is very versatile, can obviously be used for a tv stand/entertainment center as well Nice video

This video is awesome and spot on unless you have a lot of money to get started it takes time to buy all of your tools I have been a carpenter for 25 years and it took me about 10 years to acquire all of the tools I would need to start a nice wood shop at home! I'm starting making kids chairs, price is 25$ each I spend 4-5 h on it Material cost is 12$ Like you said, don't count time when you're starting I've sold 5 of them in 2 weeks, so it's still motivating and will increase price soon as the overall quality improves with practice!

I love that coffee table It’s amazing I don’t have any pets but the dog kennel is amazing Your stove cover is completely different than the lesser detailed ones I have seen brMy son is looking for a house I’m doing the cleaning, organizing and decorating I want him to have some custom pieces in his house I don’t want his house to be cookie cutter I want to do picture frames, some furniture pieces and so forth

I have several end tables, coffee tables, and stove toppers Luckily they didn't cost me much to make because nobody is buyingbrThe only things that sell is cheap stuff from China (compete with Alibaba or Amazon), used electronics, or used tools Anything small enough to ship competes with Chinese made Good luck
