Hey Matthew! No need to ever apologize for the quality of your videos It is your content that I come to your channel for, and I have never been disappointed You are not just a woodworker of a very high quality, but you are also an artist who is able to see things that others can't If your videos were grainy, and black and white, I would still watch them!brBTW some of my favorite channels are by people who don't even speak English! They are woodworkers, who out of sheer necessity do some pretty amazing things, like make dowel makers out of an old, used circular saw blade or door hinges, or make a table saw out of an upside down circular saw Something I would never do, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do to woodwork Comment from : Gregg Hernandez |

Tip … I think in my Handy Man magazine about 20 years ago I got a tip Write the length of the board you’re saving on the end of it I have tons of lumber that I either had left over or ran across too good of a deal, that I got a bunch I have a big lumber rack that holds my lumber It’s 15’ x 5’ and it’s full I don’t know how many times I needed a board such and such ft or inches long It was so nice to just pluck it off my rack It’s easy to see it’s thickness and width, but the length…?? If you use up your scraps and only about ten boards, I’m sure it wouldn’t matter, but I have at least a hundred boards Comment from : Vicki Chenier |

I tried to do some woodworking today and ending up being annoyed that I couldn't find tools Also my table saw is missing the arm so I have to clamp a 2×4 for the runner which is a pain in the butt I cut down a tree that was big enough to make coasters but my table saw blade is to small so I decided to trim off the bark and make a bird house Turns out I should've just made a bird house and glued the bark to the bird house At least I learned something main thing being, organize the shop and keep your tools in good shape Comment from : jesse hardin |

Than you for much for the inspiration! I'm a kitchen designer with a long history of cabinetmaking I've been trying to think of how to make extra money on the side using my woodworking skills I'm amazed by what you can make with just a little wood, bought or found free The truth is you don't need a lot of tools to get started I have the basic tools, miter saw, drills, skill saw I have lots of hand tools, some are bombproof antiques Your advice about starting with Smalls is genius I always believed I needed to make big pieces to sell, not so Smalls are A LOT more profitable and time saving It's all about cost vs profit Make jigs to turn the work into a quick and easy task People have no idea how powerful a jig is in a shop when building stuff In the cabinet shop I work in we had a huge wall of nothing but jigs Like you I do eventually need to get a bandsaw It cuts a fine kerf wasting very little wood, and you can split boards and cut veneer pieces to maximize your wood usage A joiner is okay, but not necessary especially since I have lots of long hand planes that can do the job of joining boards Again, thank you so much for inspiring me to get off my butt and start making stuff to sell Comment from : Ricky Fargason |
|

Unfortunately not all the people wants or likes this kind of items, also not willing to pay for So "no matter where you live" doesn't always apply You would be surprised on how many things here (southwest texas) don't happen as expected like in many other US places Even those simple coasters you mentioned in another video, 5 pieces per $20 Here, not even $5 per 5 pieces would sell It's a poor place, but also heavily influenced y the neighbor country Comment from : Angel 462 |

Hello, I am new in your channel, loove your ideas, these things crossed my mind a few years back but didn't dare to do them untill now that you in your videos have confirmed to go forward with A few ideas I havebrThank you for your videosbrI just have a question,i am getting ready to purchase a nailer gun, numanic or battery, but I want it to beuild a shed, I am in nerd of one badly, but I want to build it, I know I can,but I was hoping you can recomend something or a nailer that is 18 gauge and fits at least 25" nails,or one that will do varous sizes if there is such a thing?I plan to only build the shed with it but build dog house, gates and other smaller things not as big as the shedsuch as frames,my question what starting tools do you recomend me getting that are not to cheap but not to expensive?I need a nailer gun, smaller nailer gun if not a staple gun, and a circular saw, if not a mitter sawbrThank you soo muchbrPeace 🙏👍🤗 Comment from : Silvia Lopez |
