I actually have a lot of sticks I'm processing, from small trees in my yard I let the trees get out of control over the years First ones I'm cutting down have grown up against my house Planning on furniture and maybe a fence Some of the trunks could make good fence posts I ran across your channel earlier today, looking for ideas I literally have enough debarked branches to make several, maybe five of that bundle of switches wall art I'm going to build a small milling setup to get slabs from the bigger ones I'm completely new to woodworking and I have and will have a lot more free material to work from So much so, I should be able to manage the trees I have, by letting some grow Comment from : Objectively Real Reality Objectively |

That first shelf sucks I’d rather build floating shelves and custom finished cabinets/dressers/tv stands/mantles The wall art is not impressive, I like to build things that I am impressed by, and that takes a good amount of time/energy and selling for a significant amount Some of these projects would bore me and if I don’t like it and it doesn’t capture my attention I can’t feel good about building it, unless someone specifically asks for something that’s worth the time Comment from : Out of Mind |

Oh my word your deadpan humor just cracks me up You really should post a warning that people should not take a sip of anything while watching unless they have Windex!!! I know absolutely nothing about woodworking but am fascinated by all these ideas and techniques I live in an apartment and my neighbors would kill me, so do you have any smaller ideas (besides the nest of sticks) that wouldn't require loud machinery, OR how does one go about renting space without fear of having their newly acquired equipement/tools/product mysteriously disappear? You're amazing so thank you for sharing so much! Comment from : Cindy Atwood |
I live in BC Canada here we have saw mills some large some small when they cut lumber from a tree they cut off slabs to get rid of the round tree , this is great stuff bark on or off it is often free or 40 dollars for 2 truck loads all i can carry they sell it by the bundle I cut this into tree shapes of many sizes up to 12 feet high Cutting sideways i can get a large number of hearts that have a sensual bulbbuss form to them , they both sell like hot cakes , enjoy Comment from : johnny electric |
Easy to make does not necessarily mean made in an hour How much you charge should take into account how much you will be paid for your time, even if you are only using existing offcuts in your workshop Also, especially with floating shelves and ladders, some of these products are now mass produced and sold at super low prices Comment from : DariusMaximilian |

HAS ANYONE HAD A PROBLEM WITH FENCE PICKETS "SHRINKING"? I made something for a Xmas gift in Nov Basically 5 16" lengths of fence picket glued together with a deer head silhouette cut out By Xmas I had 3/16" gaps between a few of the boards Im assuming they shrunk from drying inside for a few weeks, but that seems excessive Comment from : Wilbo 33 |
