Something most people don't think about is when they buy stuff is the taxes you pay For almost everything you purchase there are taxes involved If you are spending less or not spending on something that you can do without, you are saving on taxes Those add up
Comment from : K McHugh

Hiroko Morioka
Fasting for a few days per month is also healthy Your stomach gets smaller and cleaner You don't want to ear junk food in quantity Eating isessebtialky for the sustenance of healthy body, not hobby or past time Those who are not conscious of life tend to eat more to fill the void
Comment from : Hiroko Morioka

PNW Alternative Beauty
I’m so glad I love your channel I love a lot of others but with all the minimalist out there they make us feel guilty for some stuff that actually helps as a parent And I see you have a little different mindset and that is more encouraging

FlowUrbanFlow
I'm very glad that you mentioned things that you don't do and how you value your time I was going to originally comment that I don't do things like clip coupons and such because it's an investment of time, and a skill to learn in itself that may not up saving me much money for the effort anyway (I usually buy off brands and have price criteria for products, no matter where I find them)
Comment from : FlowUrbanFlow

Life my Way
Use charcoal filters and use tap water You will save thousands of bottles from going to the landfills and hundreds of dollars I just started doing this I will never by individual bottled water again

Comment from : Billie V

Helen Evans
Someone that buys bottled water and paper plates isn't really qualified to tell me how to save money Sorry, O don't mean to be harsh but excessive plastic pollution and being ripped off is far from idealThere isn't a difference between tap and bottled water in the UK What is a few plates when you have to wash up anyway?br Here is a tip from me people Wash up once a day, yep, once Fill up your washing up bowl with jot soapy water and soak things that need it It's OK, don't be hard on yourself Getting the work life balance is hard, especially with little ones running around
Comment from : Helen Evans

sarah
Some places will give significant cash discounts For example, I had a $3000 emergency room bill I told them I had 1500 in savings that I could put towards it They said that was good and marked it paid in full

I've got tips too :):br1 Make a junk email to sign up for birthday freebiesbr2 Join local Facebook groups in your area or community some host free events for the seasons or holidays Also try to see if they have a for free group in your area where they are giving away things for freebr3 This is not saving money, but it helps gain more money, but make sure you have time throughout the year to pull things you don't use anymore to sell at a garage salebr4 Follow couponing accounts

I just disagree with the tip to have kids bring lunch (unless they prefer to) School lunches are cheap and was an important memory of my childhood Also, if you are that low income, your child will qualify for free or reduced lunch

Debt Free Family Tree
What a great list! Just making coffee at home, and meal planning made a HUGE difference for us brbrMy wife and I had to cut expenses on our journey to tackle student loan debt, and these things majorly add up Number 35 "Track Expenses" was a BIG one Another big one for us was "getting on the same page" brbrThough until my wife and I had some good conversations and got on the same page, it was hard to implement a lot of these strategies That's why we created our own new channel to help couples have those conversations to get on the same page brbrOnce we got aligned, a lot of these strategies helped a lot! Thanks for the great content :)

I love paper plates—I buy 8-1/2” quality plate but also buy the plain white smaller plate—keep them side by side—grab a small for toast or sandwich and such—use the quality for a meal—im adding this—I waste leftovers so often but If I freeze them immediately they become a convenient frozen bite to eat when you don’t want to do anything more than nuke a plate lol

A couple big ticket items, IF you have the ability, buy your cars and home with cash or pay the house off early if paying cash isn't possible I crunched the numbers, just a meager 80k dollar home will cost you 85k in interest over 30 years or 55k in interest on a 15 year loan That's over 2800 dollars per year just in interest payments!

Lovely Bones
I will say that I can't get on the grocery shopping online train It's so much cheaper to buy at the store, especially if you have an Aldis or Save a Lot nearby I would suggest rarely shopping online unless you have a special coupon or discount code When I shop online, I spend no less than 30 or 40 dollars on like one or two items, including delivery feesThat amount of money at the actual grocery store feeds my family for at least a week, of not two (if I meal plan and eat healthy) I spend 40 bucks at Aldis and im GOLDEN for almost the entire month Online shopping is a big no no in our house
Comment from : Lovely Bones

your husband has saved you "TONS" through oil changes? they cost $35/$40 to get done somewhere they cost you like $30 to do yourself I find paying for oil changes to be one of the few exceptions to saving money by DIY in the auto dept

Sterling R Morris
Use a thermometer to measure your fridge, freezer, and hot water Make sure your water heater is 120°F Any hotter and you can burn yourself, your family, or your guests The optimum refrigerator range is 37 to 40°F and the freezer range is 0 to 5°F If your fridge is colder than this, you can raise the temperature, save money, and reduce energy use

Aldis cheddar popcorn is better than the Smart popcorn Their peanut butter chocolate covered cookies are just as good as the GS ones and only 97! Many organic products ( tomato sauce, beans, milk, veggies and fruits) are way more reasonable to purchase Btw, their yogurt is made by Chobani! Even their nut milks are fine! Their pizzas are really good and cheap too! The one and only thing we don’t like are the black olives We have saved so much money by shopping there!Check it out - it’s the family of the Trader Jo people
Comment from : Alexis S

Snowbird
I put a small amount of each type of food on my child's plate If still hungry of course they can eat more BUT, I will never force my child to clean his plate There are too many people who eat way too much as adults because they feel they can't leave anything on their plate Especially bad if you do go out to eat because a lot of restaurants serve huge servings I've actually eat with someone who will eat all the rolls that are left over or the child's leftover just to clean everyone's plates because it bothers him He will stuff himself until he is miserable There's too many eating disorders so let's just eat until we are full and not for the goal of an empty plate
Comment from : Snowbird

World wide evil scam folksbrType any 3 numbers and new cases, and see the fake CON 19 cases all overbrbrLandlords losing tenants:brbrbrGREAT!!! The landlords are super GREEDY, so now that people are working from home, or not working, they cannot afford the overpriced apartments Rents and utilities are taking over 80 of income, and our paychecks cannot support it, nor our retirement income I know I can move to a cheaper country, but I prefer to live in my USA, even though USA is killing us!br Lower the rents, that reflects the income Train people to work online, and USA owes us $12,00000 from March -August, when we were fired! $2k per household, and per person People want an income, so they can support themselves and pay their taxes!br We want rapists, murderers, and traitors sent to Siberia, for harvesting of their organsbrA huge change is coming folks Fasten your seat belts!brbrLet go and let God always
