I played a couple of rounds with Callaway Chrome soft and really liked the feel with the irons and wedges They are a little bit on the pricy side so I bought a dozen of Kirkland for like less than half the price Haven't tried them out yet, but looking forward to it

Beginners don't have the ball striking skill or consistency to get the best out of these balls, also they lose 4+ balls per round For beginners I'd say use the cheapest balls possible and whatever you find on the course

I've tried several different balls since I started playing again Noodle, TaylorMade RBZ, Srixon Soft feel, Callaway hex soft, and Callaway Supersoft Even bought a sleeve of the Titleist proV1 The Callaway Supersoft is the one I felt the best with The Srixon Soft feel is a good one too Not good enough yet to benefit from the top of the line balls

I think you already know that a Srixon Distance isn’t going to compare to those urethane balls for performance, it’s perfectly usable for beginners though Possibly a better test would be the AD333 which actually does compete reasonably well at a fraction of the cost

I was using Srixon Distance and I agree about around the green I am now using Callaway Supersoft and notice a massive difference around the green and still maintain the distance off the tee I paid £1999 for 15 balls I believe its normally that for 12 but got myself a good deal online
