What about cut golf balls? Comment from : tizdizzley |
Fact not all those brands, in fact very few, have their own ball making facilities and so third party contract them and make for other brands on your list So interesting because a number of balls on your rankings are made in same OEM factory, same raw materials same machines, using same technology, all they do is change the name and packaging for each individual brand requirements Comment from : Geoff Cohen |
Titelist paid advertising Comment from : Xavier Ardner |
Most of these golf balls were made in China,Taiwan,Vietnam⋯ I would recommend Formost and Kirkland They were produced by the same OEM plants of the big brands Comment from : Ernest Suan |
i give free prov1s to my friends Comment from : Penguins27 |
I found an OnCore just off the 17th fairway of my local track - I had been going through a process of trying to "play every ball" and find something to replace the expensive Titleist I played the OnCore on the 18th and was so impressed I thought it must have been a fluke So I seriously tried OnCore after that and immediately made it my no 1 choice, easilyeasily as good as the Titleist and so much more ball for the price way to go guys at OnCore Comment from : |
for 30 bucks the Titleist Velocity's are my go tos as a casual player If i were better and didn't lose any many balls, def would have the Pro v1s lol brIve seen Snells and my buddy has used them sometimes but hes never said anything special about them, surprised with most of the s tier options here Ill have to try them out! Thanks! Comment from : coozie |
Noodle is better than top flight and pinnacle, I was playing bridgestones to a 57 on the front yesterday, got fed up with losing balls and played a found Noodle to a 48 on the back, which is about as well as I ever play a 9 Comment from : underthetrees |
Fun fact Dean Snell (owner of Snell) designed the first prov1, but also designed noodle, taylormade penta and MANY other golf balls Essentially if it's a golf ball, he at least influenced the design in some way I just ordered the new snell mtbx's They have a deal on their website right now on the new balls that they JUST released Comment from : Aaron Drossart |
WHERE IS NITRO?!?!?!?! Comment from : Hunter |
Nitro? Comment from : Gabriel Duenez |
I’d like to see how you rank the Snake Eyes Soft Distance? I’m just getting back into golf after 10yrs off and have been buying these for $10/dozen They seem good😁 Comment from : Chris B |
I imagine the PXG balls weren't out at the time you filmed this Have you tried them yet? If so, where would you rank them? Personally, I really like the brilliant white color and the alignment mark on them They fly well, but I have had some durability issue with them, which could be just me It would be great to hear your opinion Thanks Comment from : Mike G |
ive only ever hit one pro v1x and i literally hit the most straight far ball ive ever hit normally i drive 230 but that went 270 (age 16) Comment from : Jack |
I like noodle and volvic Comment from : Savage |
Are the current Snells softer than the old MTB Black? I still have some of those and they feel significantly harder than my usual gamer the Srixon Z-Star Comment from : AL_1547 |
Surprised to see the Srixon so low with the Q Star Tour and Z Stars performing so well Comment from : nyr413 |
Seed is a better ball than Kirkland,, fact, Comment from : Mcgrath Eoghan |
Maxfli is definitely in the wrong spot The tour and tour x ball are great balls that tested up there with the prov1 and prov1x Comment from : Cheap Intentions |
Snell MTB prime X is my favorite Comment from : cj |
Wilson Triad and the Staff are legit Great information and watch! Comment from : Rusky Rosco |
I play TM a lot and miss their Burner balls I loved the feeling And their rocketballs line too Now it's the TP5x I also just gave interest into Srixon Japan brand too I'll have to give the Q star a try Probably yellow or red Comment from : Nautica7084 |
2 problems with your assessment First Kirkland, pure SUCK 2nd I’ve been playing golf since I was 11 am now 61 in the past 20 years I’ve played PRO-V 1’s because I hit them best the new MAXFLI Tour-X are right there and not real expensive Jut my experience Comment from : Robert Sandidge |
where the nitros at 😂 Comment from : LaG_s |
Always trust a review from someone that hasn't even played with most of the baals ! 🙄 Comment from : peter summers |
thoughts on cut? Comment from : Andres Lee |
Srixon best selling ball here in South Africa Half those balls tested not available here but I have tried a Kirklandvery good ball Great review Comment from : Peter Dessington |
Funny I've seen reviews that have the Noodle ranked higher than the Kirklands for mid to high handicap player I actually play them both on occasion and find the Kirklands a little shorter with a bit too much spin for my tastes Both are fine for an average golfer on a budget Golf has gotten very expensive to play I mean it's around $50 minimum anywhere these days to play I have to save money somewhere in order to play every week, so decent budget balls are where I save money That and buying used name brand equipment I'm not spending $600 on a driver that's no better than the 10 year old Taylor Made Jet Speed that I have in my bag Not for 3 or 4 more yards That's ridiculous Comment from : Jim M |
What a joke Comment from : Skyler Sheridan |
I just bought 3 doz Spalding xd tour x balls For only $8usd a doz Its a 3pc urethane cover ball I think its the best for me 12 hp with swing speed of 118mph Comment from : you need jesus |
Would like to see you review the new wilson zip Comment from : Ronnie Prater |
Maxfli Tour is one of the best balls on the market and has been proven so in multiple ball speed and spin tests Not sure if this is just able to be quantified by someone's opinion though Comment from : Josh Lynch |
Snell is just a horrible name Comment from : Parker |
No Nitros? Comment from : Ray2465 |
I heard there are only two companies that manufacture their own balls True or false? Comment from : Tom Nelson |
Taylormade Belongs in Pure Class Comment from : John Jr Almeraz |
I like your ranking I put all of these golf balls in the woods find category Comment from : Melantheos Zimurri |
I thought you were going to talk about individual balls not just the manufacturer Comment from : Asad Khan |
I play every ball that I find and keep, that way I never worry about chasing a mishit! I never notice much difference between balls and if a ball doesn’t go as far as I think it should have or skips on the green when I think it should stop, I chuck it I play around 200 rounds a year and only spend about $100 or less a year on balls At 76 15 yards more or less on my average drive of 235 yards doesn’t make any difference in my score How my ball reacts on the green does Comment from : Jim DeCosta |
I’m surprised the Mizuno Tour RB didn’t make the list 🤔 Comment from : Stephen Scully |
Since making this video, the PXG Extreme ball was released What do you think of it? Comment from : Stephen Scully |
This is rating brands, not balls The Callaway chrome softs should be pure class You put titleist up there but what about the tru feels, do you also consider those first class? I would take warbirds over tru feels any day Comment from : Enrique Diaz C |
Bridgestone Balls ,Too many Models ,Confusing ! Comment from : Daryl Hoskins |
Bigg golf need a review Gabe Comment from : George Patterson |
There’s no such thing as a bad or good golf ball For a senior player who wants a distance golf ball, the longest ball on the market is the Callaway ERC, that would be the best ball for himbrFor a single digit player who wants a high end golf ball, the Pro V series or the TP 5 series are the best For a woman who wants a soft ball for more distance because of her slow swing speed, the Callaway Max or Distance + would be ideal for herbrEverything is relative to the needs of the players Comment from : Dean Delfante |
Pinnacle is better than you may think! They are made in the Titleist plant They’ re good off the driver, 5h, 7i, 9i Also as good, Wilson Zip and the Precept Laddie! I have been playing these lately as a test I have been impressed how well they stop off a GW 90-100 yds drop and stop That’s what I want! Crazy! You should do a three way two piece ball test! Comment from : Richard Jacobs |
Kirkland is solid… But class 🤔 I’ve had them damaged beyond playable after one shot a bunch of times Comment from : Kyle S |
I like the video but I think Srixon is too low Good range and good quality Comment from : steve thomas |
You're missing the boat on the Maxfli Tour-X If you say they're "meh", no way you've gamed one To say it's worse than a Vice ball is just a doo doo take Comment from : Mike N |
Hi, thanks for your ball review Realizing it was for “fun” is appreciated I would be remiss if I didn’t enquire on your game I suspect you are much better player than myselfbrI am however a pretty good investigator With that said , I’ve learned certain balls are better for different handicaps and or different speed swings brIronically the Noodle Soft and long his a good ball for us seniors with slower swing speed brAdditionally the Maxfli has been rated fairly high for its performance and pricingbrThanks for “fun” video 😊 Comment from : Tom Amass |
OnCore ELIXR is my go to ball and I also have a few boxes of Vero X1, just in case I get good enough to use a 4 piece ball I’m generally around 100 mph give or take a few, so the ELIXR is the best choice Comment from : Jeff Sharp |
Bridgestone should be in the pure class category Comment from : Ed Robinson |
Vice Pro is my best qaulity value ball at around $35 a doz I've bought Titlest ProV1 and Bridgestones upper end At $50 a dozen it's just not feasible for myself I'm a 12 handicapper, so I dont like losing $4+ balls😖brHonestly I'm very happy with the cheapo Taylormade Distance ball off the par 4 n 5 tee box They travel as far and straight as any quality ball I've used I was shocked Dozen balls are a tad over $20😮brMy brother a 5 handicapper loveslovesthe OnCore ball He plays it exclusively I turned him onto the Vice Pro and he liked that ball also Comment from : Clay Earth |
The Kirkland is not too shelf My experience these fly 15-20 yds shorter than say a Chrome Soft 1st gen Kirkland was awesome Too bad can’t get that ball anymore Comment from : Tom McNutt |
Putting Callaway and srixson in the try category makes this list a joke Two of the best balls out there Comment from : Alan Martins |
enjoyed the video however the Callaway balls should definantly be in the "would buy" class at least Comment from : Ace Oswell |
Personally like the crome soft Comment from : Joseph Hartman |
The only place where I disagree with you is where you put Srixon They should be higher Very consistent balls for any class of golfers Comment from : Jean-François Robitaille |
I have to agree with the oncore verox1 , the feel, the sound, the ball flight and distance and they come at a decent price point, especially in the bundle I’m interested in trying out the snell after your review Comment from : Bruce Parrett |
Wilson Staff Models are absurdly good Comment from : Joseph Sivits |
Srixon for me is far and away the best golf ball brand I personally play them better than anything out there Runner up would be the Taylor Made golf balls Comment from : Isaiah 53 |
I feel like Vice is underrated IMO having tried everything it fits me best and most I play with love them when they try Comment from : The Setzers |
No mention of the Cut Blue/gray series Love the ball, but I do feel like the cover is less durable, Comment from : Flying NP |
For a relatively new golfer who is lucky to break 100 and is capable of hitting as high as 125, does the ball really make much of a difference? Comment from : Jack |
Noodles are what I play when I'm just out with the guys knocking back a few (too many) beers and not taking the game too seriously I think for like a buck a ball they are fine for new players or the casual golfer who may only play 2-3 times a year I play Srixon Q-Star when I'm getting after it Might have to check out the Kirkland next season though Comment from : one2many hobbies |
Srixon z stars perform the same as pro v1 Comment from : zack |
The new Maxfli's are great I strongly recommend you playing the Tour Comment from : Alan Jopson |
nice pxg advertisement, not a fan can't trust you aren't promoting certain golfballs Comment from : James Hoben |
just hit a titelist truFeel 340 yards, longest drive ever by a long shot!! Driver-Tour Edge e722! Comment from : James Hoben |
Srixon Z Star or Srixon Star XV Comment from : David Jean |
just a mention on the not huge brand names, I have tried the Snell, good ball except the cover looked like it was thin paint that chipped after 3 good hits, the Volvik were really good, last forever and I didn't see any loss in yardage, lots of spin the Seed in my opinion is a Pro V in disguise, could not tell the difference The Oncore was horrible, I have Top Flites that feel softer than that box of Rocks My favorite 3 are the Kirkland, Seed and Vice Pro Comment from : jetdr |
Surprised you didn't mention the Wilson Triad Performs like a Pro V1 but for less money Comment from : Chris 1972 |
Kirkland lol No serious golfer plays these wanna be range balls They have taken over the "most lost ball in golf" from TopFlite Comment from : Boone Docker |
what stores sell seed golf balls in the us? Comment from : Matty |
Considering Price & Performance Top 3br1 Kirkland Signaturebr2 OnCore Elixrbr3 Srixon Q Star Tour Comment from : Johnny |
* cough Cough* Mizuno bcough Cough/b (Would buy) Comment from : Marco Delacuesta |
Golf ball performance is important, but there are brands that give you a sense of stability For me, the 80's Maxfli is like that They made a great comeback with Tour and Tour X The only ball that can replace my favorite pro v1 for over 15 years My guess is that you probably have bad memories with Maxfli :) Comment from : JB Max |
i thought the kirkland balls were only 1$ a piece? looked online at costco and it says 2 dozen for 35$ Comment from : Teddy Pabian |
I’d rather play noodle than top flight Comment from : Cameron Tranchemontagne |
What about the CLEAR brand balls? I played them, and they belong in the wold try catagory Comment from : Robert Bachman |
put me in the Maxfli Tour and Tour x camp! I took both Maxfli versions and my regular ProV-1 out several rounds and hit all 3 at my club Maxfli felt and performed just as well or better than the ProV! Long with the driver, and high spin around the greens I was honestly shocked at how good they were Plus the alignment aid was better, and I think the cover was slightly more durable After 2-3 rounds the Maxfli balls had zero blemishes Considering you can buy 4 dozen to bring the cost down to 26 a dozen, I'm all in I'm calling Maxfli the best ball in the market today Comment from : Charles Griffin |
I think you are so wrong on Maxfli I play Maxfli Tour and they are honestly as good as anything in the top price range I'm not sure you've tested them because they get rave reviews I've also played their Trifli which you can get 2 dozen for $40 which is a heck of a deal, and a good 3 piece ball with 40 compression I'd recommend moving Maxfli up your list Also, a lot of those direct to customer company prices are creeping up and don't feel like much of a deal when you factor in shipping Kirkland is probably the absolute best ball for price$1 a ball is crazy and for how good they are, it's a no brainer But for me, I've been sticking with, and playing Maxfli and getting great pricing on the buy 2 price they run at Dicks I'm trying to stay loyal to one brand and learn to play that consistently, and for the bargain price, I think you can't beat Maxfli Comment from : Jeff Heiderscheit |
Absolutely wrong on Srixon WOULD BUY without question You should give the Zstar a shot (again) Comment from : RogueAech40 |
Volvik S4 is actually a pretty good ball, especially 100 yards and in I spin the ball too much with my wedges so it's not for me, but I never seen a ball check up so well from 30 - 60 yards Comment from : Joe Momma |
I've played the Maxfli Tour model and found it compares well against the top tour brands like Titleist Comment from : X00000370 |
