Have just discovered this clip, had no idea JD signed with B I have just returned to golf after having 2 years off only to discover my belovered WS Duo Professional has been shelved and now I have started playing the B RXS (61 compression) and love it so far I can attack the pin and often get comments now on how did I create so much spin! Only had 2 rounds but it's in the bag now

The first Bridgestone ball I purchased was the Tour B RX, and that was about 2 weeks ago I like them! I can't make a ball backspin on the green but when I hit the green I get one bounce and stop 2 days ago, hit 8 iron 160, landed 3ft from the pin, and the ball divot was just 1ft from where it stopped So when this model has pretty good stopping power with irons Next, I'm going to try the Tour B XS Off-topic, I also like the Srixion Z Star It goes far, straight and stops like the B RX

Amateurs will spend 45 dollars on a box to maybe gain 5 strokes and loose 5 dollars a hole in skins instead of working on their contact! Time after time I see an old timer shoot 90 with whatever while a youngster shoots a 110 but maybe hit a couple 280 and thinks the 50 box is worth it

Rick is spot on with vis a vis the B logo- it is ugly (as Rick said, matter of personal taste) My opinion, when Bridgestone had the E5, 6, 7 series, they looked awesome & performed as well If it's between B and Pro V1 or even TP5's, I'm not buying Bridgestone

Honestly I play Vice Pro because it's 90 of the performance of a ProV1/TP5/Bridgestone for 30 cheaper, not including the discount of ordering directly from Vice Given how many I lose after playing for only 4 months, playing $4+/ball is just painful every time I hit a bad shot

The Nike balls that Tiger used years ago were made by Bridgestone The plant is in my hometown and a friend of mine works there I still have some he gave me Just have the swoosh on them

Played TP5 for the last two seasons but made the switch to the Tour B-XS Mainly for the spin numbers around the greens Feels very soft and light TP5 feels “heavier” in comparison, as if the ball is waterlogged

I find the Bridgestone B XS is the best golf ball on the planet IF you are a 5 handicap or less, or are a very good ball striker Why? Cause they give you virtuosic control over spin and feel around the greens, it also gives you ultimate control over your shot shaping BUT the catch is, with that extra control, which comes from more spin, your misses will be Amplified because of that So your big misses get bigger cause the ball responds so faithfully to what you give it Most players will play better with a harder less spinny ball because it will make their big misses smaller while sacrificing a bit of greenside feel and shot shaping ability

Guys, if you know your swing speeds you can literally look at the back of the box and it shows you a guide for your potential ball to go with I've tried them all but for me I play the Tour B RX, amazing all around ball at least for me I have been dabbling with the Seed Pro1 and those are excellent golf balls as well and let's mention Snell MTB Black golf balls to be in the mix as well

When it comes to the top premium ball for the big ball manufacturers, Titleist, Callaway, Taylormade, Bridgestone, and Srixon, they all have have great products For the average golfer, Bridgestone makes a great line of options that preform quite well As someone who works in a golf store, I can tell you first hand, a lot golfers use the wrong ball for their game

It's odd to me that I've always played more consistently with a Bridgestone ball They seem to be just half a tick better than the competition To my knowledge, though I could be pretty far off, Bryson's ball is the standard Tour BX I've heard that he had a big hand in designing the ball (at least the new one), similar to Tiger's designing and play of the standard Tour BXS I wonder if Jason day is playing a standard ball or a tour-specific offering, though I wouldn't doubt that he does have tour-specific ball Regardless, Bridgestone's engineering teams can make a great ball!

I’ve only played Bridgestone balls that I’ve found in the woods My personal favorite ball is the tp5 I prefer it to tp5x as well Just the spin and workability around the green is what I prefer The feel to me on chips and putts is perfect Also great off the tee

i played the XS (tiger ball) all through 2020 and absolutely loved it wish they were a little more durable but MAN they’re incredible currently playing the TP5 the new cover that came out last year i feels so much like that XS ball a big improvement for the TP5/TP5x series

I play Wilson Duo Soft golf balls I'm a classic golfer, with persimmon woods, forged blades, and a Bulls Eye putter The Duo Softs feel best on classic clubs, like the old Titleist Tour Balatas the pros used to play back in the day

I put some new wedges in the bag 18 months ago and they did not get along with tp5x around the greens Desperate for something softer I tried for tiger version in I absolutely loved it It felt better in all departments Especially on and around the greens I will not be changing unless they make it better somehow

One of the reasons I started playing Bridgestone balls consistently around 10 years ago was because no one really played them It was different, it was never “What number is it?” And, to this day, I still don’t get it But I have settled in on Bridgestone Tour BX I have tried ChromeSoft X, ProV1X, TP5X, Vice, Z Star XV None of them felt like the Bridgestone Durability is spot on, quality is spot on, consistent and comfortable Unless something changes, I foresee the Bridgestone ball in my ball for a long long time

Hey Rick and Guy, love the show Not sure about UK, but here in the states most golf shops have as much Bridgestone merchandise as other ball manufacturers As a single-digit handicap, I’ve played the BXS TW and I feel they are phenomenal But I’m with Guy, I tend to always gravitate back to a Titleist Just something about that iconic script logo 🤷🏼‍♂️
