Im personally taking a "learn on the job" approach I learn chords and techniques as they become relevant to what i care about playing Im not in a band, im not doing this seriously, its just for me, so why stress over a million things that dont matter to what i want to play

I learned exclusively with Rocksmith, and YouTube, and I'm still consistently climbing skill wise The main issue is the core game is too fun, and it's too easy to overlook the lessons, technique games, and all the other modes that are there to teach chord names, string skipping, and scales It also doesn't teach much theory at all, so you gotta find that on your own

While I have done a significant amount of learning through private in-person lessons, there are so many free resources out there Now, imo it is has always been very convenient to have a private lessons teacher because when I can't quite find an exact answer online he is there to assist, but for any intermediate players wanting to become advanced, experimentation, learning songs on your own, and doing a lot of listening is best (and free!)

My parents got me Rocksmith this Christmas, I've been playing already for like 2 years It's pretty fun anyway since I like how it ranks me and tells me how accurate I am when playing a cover

About a year ago I started learning using Andy Guitar's 10 episode beginner's course on youtube After about 4 episodes I got bored, figured I got the basics, and just went on to the ultimate tabs website and learned every Wilbur Soot song Now I'm about moderate at guitar Not a bad way to learn as far as I'm concerned, do it at your own pace

Don't forget friends and family members! I'm learning with Justin and if I get stuck I ask my boyfriend or my mum, I also play for my friends and ask for feedback and advice (don't take the piss just quick 5 mins here and there)

I like these animated videos u do, but sometimes its nice to just see you "in person" talking some random shit about something that may or may not actually have a point Animation works well for education, but personally i watch your vids for your whacky personality, and that doesnt always transfer as well into these kinds of videos But as Long as there is a new video here and there im happy Id Just like a bit of both this and the style u used to do Keep a balance between em, you kno?
