Probably the most helpful video I've found yet on this topic I had no idea when I started learning the guitar what a stumbling block this would be I've learned about a dozen chords and have practiced them enough that I can change chords fairly quickly compared with when I was first learning, but this is just with trying to see how many times a minute I can change chords without consideration for anything but one downstrum for each chord change So when I try to add a strumming pattern to it, it all falls apart This video shows how to get there in incremental steps I'm finding that I'm going to need to practice this A LOT before I can make any real improvements in my playing Comment from : Brian Phillips |
|
Thanks for the video… I will practice Comment from : Sunjay Bedi |

This video was very helpful, but in exercise 7 when you're counting the beats count only those beats which strums, like in exercise 7 count like 1 2 and and 4(don't count 3 it will mess up the rhythm of your strum)brOne of the best video on Youtube for learning strumming helped me a lot Comment from : Akash Jaiswal |

I'm about a month in on the guitar I had suspected this little "nothing chord" technique for quite a while from closely watching very experienced and professional guitarists This is the first time I've seen it talked about and taught Good to know it is a widely accepted and used technique And very good to have it demonstrated in a very slow and clear way Excellent! Thank you Comment from : John Paul Flippin |
