It's funny, because a lot of people now are saying buying in bulk is actually worse because you end up with inventory you never use I guess if you have 8 kids, you'll probably use it But lots of people buy bulk they never use That's money down the toilet

My mom and I rented my violin and by the 4th year of monthly renting payments the owner fitted me with a full size violin and gave it to me for free saying we have paid an amount for a violin of my own at this point by just loving and caring for the one they rented to me every year It was awesome!

I know for my local music store, you can rent instruments and if your kid and even yourself wanted to continue with that instrument, whatever you paid so far in rent can go towards owning the instrument

I used the same uniform last year and this year, my daughter didnt grow much and i bought them a bit big so i got 2 years out of one budget lol and i hit up Walmart clearence and got black tennis shoes for 1 dollar

I am a senior citizen living only on social security, I buy all off my clothing 60-80 off at Land's End Sale Summer I had nothing to wear, I bought 3 dresses, 10 shirts, and 2 shorts for $15700, Winter I needed 4 shirts, 2 pair of pants and a good fleece jacket for $12000, I saved $350 on both purchases i live on $1300 a month that's it I have no car, everything comes by mail including most of my food My friend saved $25,000 on UPROMISE buying brand name foods And it paid for community college and their junior year at a state school

We always had a suitcase of extra school supplies that lived in mums room where you’d buy everything on the booklist and only end up needing half of it Pretty sure there’s still scrapbooks from year one in there and I’m 20 now 😂 but that was always our first stop when school shopping

Only secondary school kids in the uk take stuff like pens and pencils and the school will provide glue stick etc We are very blessed

Thank your channel! I'm a quilter and have found that if you store glue sticks in the freezer, they will last longer and not dry out! Good for this time of year when glue sticks are on sale!

I don't think THAT many supplies kids need (of course it depends of how many children are in family and what those kids like to do in free time) Buying everything in bulk is not always good option in my opinion Those points are mostly for big families As an only child I can say I didn't needed that much of stuff, almost nothing to be fair But good video after all best tip that worked for younger me was the first and tip with strict budget and making choices ;)

Warning about rakuten(ebates): just noticed when trying to buy contacts and glasses prices where WAY higher going through rakuten Regular web price per box of contacts 19$, rakuten price same web site 38$ Same issue with glasses and the 5 rebate isn't covering the difference

My oldest son works at Office Max so I get the heads up on their great sales A few years ago I went slightly bonkers on their penny sales and I haven’t had to buy school supplies for my four kids since!!brI’ve actually been able to help friends out with supplies!♥️

I 100 agree with teaching the kids to budget for back to school shopping We were lucky enough to give our older kids $100 each for school clothes (including shoes) this year and they very quickly learned the importance of clearance racks and sales! Skills for when they’re older! 👍🏻

RENTACALCCOM is great website to get calculators, pencils, backpacks etc For free!! Also you could organize a back to school bash with your church Our old church does it People in the church sponsor a child and the kids bring in their school supply list The person buys at least $10 worth of supplies and at the bash there is food and a huge gift table with kids supplies and a giveaway table with random school supplies Each kid gets a number and as the numbers are drawn out of a hat the kids can come pick an item from the giveaway table

We buy a few extras and save for what's needed towards end of year we usually run out of water colors if anything around apirl We wait for September last year I got 3 pairs of shoes for 20 dollars , that way if they get left somewhere like mamaws house he still has a pair and and a nice pair for events

As a teacher, unfortunately our school districts tell you what brand and if you send roseart or off brands, the school will dispose of them It's sad but our district literally will take them and pitch them Because we have to put markers in little trays and we are required to have all same items for all kids So one kid cant have one brand , another kid another brand Just a heads up Also off brands dont sharpen properly and dont last very long either

When the weather starts to get cold, our Walmart will put leftover uniform shirts on sale for $1 and uniform shorts for $2 I usually stock up on the next size up and save them for the next school year

I bought school supplies from Oriental Trading company They are online and have magazine brThe school here is SHARE POLICY Everything you bring into school, it goes into main box to share Even pencils in daughter's name I absolutely HATE it Even spare outfit goes in box! Those pretty crayons with added glitter you bought, in share box so that kid in front of you can break it no big deal Etc Its infuriating! I try to not buy nice stuff or anything much at all now

Have the kids go online or get the sale paper in the mail This allows them to research who has the best deal and they can do the math before hand That was the rule in my house as a child 😍 It was so much fun waiting for the ads to come out

Fun fact: In Spain, kids finish school usually before June 20th, but since they have their "final exams" during the first week of June, they have 1-2 weeks of not doing much (or just fun projects) They are mentally on vacation for three months, as school usually starts again around September 10 😂😂😂 Christmas break lasts from the 21st of December til the 8th of January, Easter 10 days (always including Wednesday to Sunday in Holy Week)
