QUESTION: so I leased a car in 2020 and the residual value is about $20,000 I looked on KBB and the car is estimated to be worth $23,999 When I return the car am I able to get a $3,000 check from the dealer?brbrQuestion 2: What if the dealer gives you a quote for a monthly payment and you do the math on the residual value/depreciation and its way less than what they quoted how would I let them know that this is an up charge based off that residual value

How do you explain this to a dealer without them kicking you out though? I found a 1794 edition crew max Toyota tundra for $70k which I wouldn’t be able to afford if I financed, the residual value on those are 86 after a 3 year lease on 10k miles Which means I should only pay $416 a month with taxes but on the website it says $801 per month Please help thank you

I leased a car on Sunday, and watched this before I went to the dealership Saved me some money and a lot of stress Thanks, sir!brbrMy only disagreement is not putting money down Since the amount over the time of the lease is the same whether you do or don’t put money down, it seems wise, imo, to put enough money down that you have a stronger monthly payment that you’re budgeting for, unless you have an aggressive way to put that cash to a higher yield return during the terms of the lease, like in a CD or high interest savings bank Basically, it’s kind of a matter of how disciplined are you with budgeting
