Everyone talks about carrera T being a parts bin model which is not It has its own characteristic, engine mounted 2 inches further front for better handling, spoiler raised higher than any base models and comes standard with PASM sport suspension which is equipped with stiffer anti-roll bars and handles corner much better than S model Besides, its base engine is a sweet spot because it emulated the NA feeling while being turbocharged S and GTS due to enormous torques of more than 500NM, it has some turbo lags and sudden power surge Comment from : JOHN THIAM |

First of all, thank you for producing such excellent videos about my favourite car (the Porsche 911) - the in-depth information and your style of presenting make them very enjoyable and remind me of the original Top GearbrAs the proud owner of a somewhat unique, 9911 C4S Exclusive (with 50th Anniversary detailing), I feel that despite what 'purists' may believe, it's an excellent example of all that's good in a late model 911brLighter than the 997 it replaced and with as much power as the previous Turbo Equipped with a Porsche Sports Exhaust, its engine sounds glorious when stretched towards the redline but is just as capable of delivering excellent fuel economy in everyday drivingbrUnlike the rarer and more track biased GT cars, it's chassis is composed on rough surfaces and delivers a sporting but comfortable ride (especially when fitted with the DSC Sport PASM controller)brMost of the time the 4S is in fact a rear wheel drive car and whilst there's a small trade-off in weight (70kg) and steering feel, the cars ability to shuttle power to the front wheels when driving close to the limit, tightens the front end and allows the driver to make rapid progress, with considerable confidence, whatever the road or weather conditionsbrVisually, the 4S might not shout about its capabilities but with the exception of the Turbo, it's a blisteringly fast car point to point and all the better for being naturally aspiratedbrSome 911's are rarer, some are more 'classic' but IMHO, the 9911 C4S really is all the 911 anyone could need on the road Comment from : Mark Davis |
I believe it, is the one you drive !! Comment from : Luish Salazar |

Ferdinand Porsche must be rolling over his grave knowing his perfect sportscar turned into humongous minivan The modern 911 is anti Ferdinand Porsche Comment from : Gerardo V |

Personally, my accessible and reasonable dream car, so not "money-no-issue" dream car, is the 2012 Carrera S in black with grey Sport Techno rims Around 70k First iteration of the 991 with the narrow body, cleanest look and not insanely expensive on the second hand market Money no-issue, I think I'd get either a Singer, a GT3 touring or a 911r but the first one of the first 200 produced destined to 918 owners in white with red stripes, absolute perfection brNew 992 are not my thing, too wide, chunky back, it's not that elegant anymore And also, not a fan of the 4 points-led and straight lines on the bonnet in general brOld models are good for purists etc But maintenance must be stupid high, and interior is just too old for me I want to listen to spotify while cruising Comment from : Lionel Rbh |

Porsche didn’t make the Gt3 touring to spoil any legacy They did that on purpose to shaft the 911R owners who wanted a million bucks for their cars Well done Porsche Respect for you as a manufacturer for doing all of us rightbrFabulous video Truly well made and informative Well done 👍 Comment from : Sultan Niazi |

At 5:39 the spec is incorrect The 38L GT3 in 9911 makes 475hp, not 493hp I think you got confused with the 9912 GT3 with the 40L brYou also forgot to mention the 9911 GTS Club to commemorate 60 years of PCA which is limited to 60 units Comment from : Lord Master |

7:09 “Porsche went on to spoil the legacy of the car by producing the GT3 Touring…” Wrong With the GT3 Touring, Porsche just made much of the R experience available for more people to enjoy Andreas Preuninger said of the R: “I don't want them standing around in dark garages collecting dust” The true legacy of the R is that Porsche made a manual transmission GT3 again, just as they had with the 997, 996, 993 They also worked really hard to make a new, brilliant 6-speed manual, rather than use the 991 Carrera’s rubbery 7-speed manual Learnings from the R’s manual shifter informed development of the 9912 and 992 Comment from : mohawk5010 |
I feel like the 992 is a very good incremental improvement on the 9912 and thus in some ways a 9913 Comment from : Guy in the Eames Lounge Chair |

This was a great video of the progressions of the 991I happen to own one (9912 and not my first Porsche) and absolutely love it! Oh YeahI’ve been driving Porsches as my daily drivers for the past 40+ years and all have been “base models” with manual transmissions! PS: I’m now 76 years old and still drive somewhere every single day! Once againa wonderful video! Comment from : 18echosf |
