I really appreciate your pov on videos without criticism Very professionalbrI'm terms of this video you are on par with this being the last call for the real feel and without all the electronic junkbrThe 9971 vs 9972 had some real differences Wider stance, suspension, power was not addressed but all the other feels of the car is so much betterbrThey are not they same car and deserve their own recognition which you have mentioned Comment from : JUDGExNOCTURNAL |
Question, did the example you tested have a sports exhaust? Comment from : Marcus Mackay |

Carbon ceramic brakes were actually a very expensive option on the 9962 and Standard on the 996 Turbo S So this wasn't the first 911 to have them Comment from : AhEmGee |
ever gas carrera will be worth a fortune when they go full electric Comment from : chad barbaro |

Speaking of this specifc line of the 9972 (base Carerra), absolute waste of money instead of just buying a 9872 Cayman S The power might be slightly more on this, but it weighs more too, so acceleration are similar Cayman will handle and brake better Interiors, other than no useless back seat like the 911, is identical My 9872 uses the same everything, and even when I pull parts, they are all stamped 997 on them Frunk is the same, and I'd say the Cayman looks a little sportier too compared to the base Carerra brbrSo what the does the Carerra really give you? Two useless back seats (not more storage though, as the Cayman has hatch storage the 997 doesn't Sure costs a good 15k more for what is essentially the same car Now if you move up into the 4S, Turbo, etc 9972, that is absolutely a different discussion But for a base Carerra, just get a better performing Cayman for a lot less money Even if you talk about resale, the 9872 has bottomed out in depreciation at this point, so not exactly a discussion there either Comment from : Nitrousbird |

Future advice Don't say bullshit or any other curse words during a car review It just makes you look less intelligent when speaking about the car Comment from : C C |

$50k my ass I was recently in the market for a $60k sports car and Porsche was my first choice brTo get a 911 for $60k you have to get something from 2005 with 50k miles brTheir values are insane brI bought a Mach 1 instead Opposite end of the spectrum, I know, but it’s a riot nonetheless Comment from : Maxwell Martin |

Thanks guys for the great video I just bought my 2012 C4 base cabriolet PDK wide body, one of the last 9972 made before the change over to the 991 about a year ago, late March of 2022, car only had 25,025 miles on it, I now have 27,050 on it I very much love putting the top down on a nice day versus a coupe, can't do that in a coupe I'm glad that I bought the 2 for all those reasons you had mentioned in your video Comment from : Phillip Grint |

At the risk of sounding like a Boomer about the 60's cars, but mid 2000's cars were the sweet spot for me, analog yet modern enough 🙏🏻 Comment from : Charles Bilodeau |
I've been looking into buying a 991 vs a c7 corvette and after driving both, I don't want the perfection that comes with the 911 I want something that's going to try to beat me up and eat my dog when I punch it and that's why I'm probably going with the c7 Porsche is TOO good at making a perfect car that is basically a confidence inspiring 401k, and I want early spaceX and Tesla I want it to be a wild ride and to be ready to kill me, but have a cocaine fueled party all the way to the grave Comment from : DumbOtterLover |
You want that emotional connection All you need is a drive after a rainy day in an E36 M3 or a Honda S2000 Best times ever! Comment from : Don Z |

I have to say, the production quality of this video really is what stands out to me I love cars, I love driving, car care and wrenching, however by all accounts I am otherwise an underachieving buffoon who will likely die just as broke as I live today, but NOT without the joy of having owned a Porsche 911 Thanks to your video, my sights are set on the goal of a financially responsible purchase of a 9972 machine, by hook or by crookbrbrThank you for the inspiration, brbrJohn Comment from : John Gorny |

4:34, in my book, the 997s are the summit in the 911 life, after that they grew bigger, heavier, less connected, despite being faster, i would not want later 911 Actually my choice would even be an earlier 996 turbo or 40jahre Comment from : Bebop |
