It takes more than 20-30 minutes when you get into the higher levels but like any other hobby in life that you want to get good at, you’re going to have to put time in it I find it enjoyable, I play with an electric guitar and amp The only complaints I have with it are there are not enough songs and any song in the game should have a melody option and never just a chords option Other than that I enjoy it

Yousician is an amazing app, I have been playing for around a month now and the amount I have learned in that month is crazy I use to look at the guitar like it was intimidating to play but this app makes it so easy to understand It takes a lot of work and practice like anything worth doing in life but I pay 20$ a month and it has completely replaced my video game hobby

Better to just learn a few chords and practice switching and strumming This will get you comfortable with just playing It’s a good place to start This is the fastest way to be able to play some songs

I've tried yousician twice, when I first started playing, and once I knew the basics The first time I tried it, I found it was an 'OK' way to learn some fretting The second time I tried it, I found it was an amazing way tolearn guitar, if you didn't want to actually learn the guitar 😂brI went to lessons for 2 years, and I've been self taught since I am now grade 8, and comfortably shredding my favourite metal licks, and composing my own jazz, rock, and metal music

My only suggestion is to work on your technique now Get into good habits straight away It will help you later on Ex, alternate picking, finger positions in the fret board, your strumming technique

When I started learning guitar 23 years ago i was a student I had no internet, no tuners, no tutorials, no teacher In addition to a strong desire, I only had my friend's old broken Soviet 7-string guitar (AKA the firewood log with finger-cutting strings), that I fixed and converted into a 6-string My friend wrote me some chords that he still remembered I bought new cheap nylon strings (1/3 of my monthly salary), of course they didn't stay in tune for more than a couple of days for the first six months I'd strummed some good guitars in the music store and found out that my voice resonated with d-strings, so I got a kind of "tuning fork" The beginning was difficult AF My fingers hurt AF, my roommates were mad at mebr But I felt Happybr And now when I watch this video, I remember those feelings

Yousician is great and I recomend everyone who is learning guitar to use those free daily 15 minutes because they had up to 90 free hours each daybrbrYou really don't need a teacher for learning the basics of guitar, the internet is full of good tutorials (Justin Guitar is great) so I hope this is helpful for anyone who wants to pickup a guitar but is staying in two mindsbrbrIn Holland we have an old saying: "Op een ouwe fiets moet het leren" which means you don't need state of the art gear to learn something new, if you have an old guitar which sounds hollow, it is still great to start learning You can always upgrade or take lessons if you are getting more into it

For those saying it takes months and years to get good You’re wrong It all depends on the person and how fast they pick up on things I know a few people that didn’t know how to hold a guitar but 3 months later they were on stage playing Some people just have it in them to learn fast and some people don’t and takes them longer Don’t discourage people by telling them it takes months or years to get good I’m a drummer and keyboardist and both self taught I learned drums in a month and joined a band shortly after Keyboard I learned to play myself and wrote my own songs within a week
