what really sucks is that at Sugar Creek in Terre Haute IN if you bring the cans crushed in any way, im talking if in a single bag there is a single can crushed whether it be dented or fully flattened, they dock the entire load (not just the bag it was in) to 20 so you dont really make anything, brbrbrthe reason this sucks so damn much is that if you dont have a large vehicle and need to make every inch of space count in your car for transporting cans, if the cans are normal size i can fit about 6 bags in my car, thats about 25lb of cans per drive (which is 20 miles) if they are crushed i can fit almost 5x as many cans in each bag making the entire trip nearly 5x as profitable because i dont have to spend the money on 5 trips worth of gas instead

Very good tip for those living in the barbaric states where you get paid per pound so for 32 cans a pound you may say get 50 cents or in AZ a bit more than $1, where as us in the 5 cent a can states get $160 for those same amount in weight, or in MI and OR you get 10 cents it would be $320 for that same number per pound, Mind you if you try to redeem an out of state into either of those states you will get denied and possibly arrested, and the same for trying to get 10 from one of those two mention taken from a 5 cent state Also the reason why they ask to sort and many recycling centers no longer take crushed as you mentioned as per the still ongoing attempt to gain more $ by weighing down with heaver content brbrBTW I live in MA, the Redemption system is paid in at time of purchase for drink for container as deposit which most get back if they return to a reverse vending machine, its the reverse of you getting it from a machine they take to count each ad will not accept if the barcode does no correspond to the redemption value However some folks just toss them away and others collect to gain the money in their favor That is how the redemption bill system works, and hope you understood it as easy and simple it is to explain

Here's a tip: If you crush them, you can fit more in your container or bag, and not have them all over the place LOL ;-)brAnother one is to save at least 100lbs Sometimes they will pay more for quantities over 100lbs
