I was born and raised in America (spendind almost every summer in Italy with my Nonna) so I grew up learning English AND Italian, but I understand spoken Spanish (very similar words except some are just completely diffrrent😭), I am semi-fluent in Chinese, I spent 2 months one summer living with a Chinese host family who knew very minimal English (I was kinda a translator but more for the culture aspect) for school and now I'm learning French! But these tips helped SO SO much with learning French its unbelievable Comment from : Rylee Kabacinski |

I’m Korean but my first language is English I find it quite embarrassing that I don’t know Korean (but I’m only at a young age) I’ve tried using Duolingo but haven’t made a huge amount of progress This year (seventh grade), for some stupid and odd reason I decided to take on ANOTHER language, Spanish (when I can barely handle GT English, which stands for gifted and talented I’m in all gt and honors math btw) So if I am learning Korean very slowly I need as much help as I can get to learn Spanish for class😅 Comment from : luvtaylor |

I know 2 languges without learning, because it's my both native languges (which is Ukrainian and Russian) I also know very fluent English, because I started learn it since kindergarden and I aslo went to school that focused more on engilsh language, but I became fluent, when I moved from Ukraine to Norway because of the war Where I started talking more English and later studied 15 year in international school In my first school I learnt for 2 years German ( I think I had A2-B1 level), but sadly because I switched school I stoped use it, so kinda forgot it In Norway I started learning French in my school, so now my French lever is kinda A1-A2 I also want to start learning Korean and restart German, good luck to me! i’m from chile and i’m re-learning spanish along with learning french I’m pretty much fluent in spanish now and i’m pretty good at french My biggest tips are watching DISNEY live-action movies in whatever language you’re learning and put the subtitles in whatever language you are learning Again, do this with LIVE-ACTION DISNEY MOVIES! Specifically PRINCESS ONES They make such large obvious gestures that make it incredibly easy to understand While learning french I often went to this little french café and spoke in french and talked to the french owner about how i was trying to learn french Doing simple conversation is a good way to get experience on talking with actual people in that language Also, while i was learning spanish again I shopped at ZARA a ton just to speak to the employees there in spanish They literally all speak spanish Have fun learning your language! Living in a household with english speakers made things easier for me to adapt too It's somehow a habit me and my siblings picked up to speak in english (tho both parents aren't any fluent, and we're living in a country with barely anyone speaking english at all) brSo now that i am pretty much fluent in Indonesian, English and Javanese (my mother tongue), it's actually easier to adapt with unfamiliar grammar Like for example, i am currently learning korean and i found it highkey different than IDN & ENG's grammar, but it was easier to understand how the grammar works than how it was when i started learning english the very first time- for short, it's like a headstart, lol brThank you for the tips, despite what i've stated, i am super lost on how to continue learning Korean :')brI've only been depending on language learning apps (Duolingo, Cake, Papago) and watching korean contents (K-pop, variety shows, k-youtubers etc) Comment from : sCry |
