Why would I want to spend 2x on a laptop? I can get a m1 MacBook air for $670 refurbished through backmarket "Get this laptop instead!" Because it costs more than an m2 Mac! Makes sense to me I get that it has a better display but it's a lot of plastic and you still have to deal with windows I hate that every time I open my laptop it feels like I have a new update almost every other week I don't think it's worth it It takes a nearly $3000 laptop to do what a $1500 MacBook can do As a person on a budget learning coding, I'm going second hand market m1 MacBook air for a 5th the price Serviceable

Disliked this because from my experience the base mbp still surpasses all of these computers Watch a Dave2D video and just counting audio (speakers) apple beats these laptops with a hand tied behind their back brI like how he assumed people are disappointed with the MacBook pros I used to have a MSI gaming laptop for work that had a gtx 3060 but what this guy doesn’t mention is that I much rather prefer to lug the original charging cable rather than the ginormous bricks that these other makers provide you with which are bulky and extremely heavy to carry brI love that my Mac gives me the performance I need without compromising battery life Stand by is amazing as well and can work into 5 battery and comfortably finish editing videos, photos etc bralso windows OS SUCKS!!!! Constant updates and pop ups Nah! Got fed up and was the main cause for my switch Also constant driver issues and no clear answers Not to mention the bloats are added to these machines for these ‘features’ to work brAnother thing I hated of my windows gaming pc is because it had a graphics card I constantly had to stay plugged in, dealing with a hot underside and super loud fans As the fans constantly were maxed out even during simple tasks like web browsing If you’re on the ropes just get Linux Don’t listen to this guy He’s probably throwing products out there he can get affiliated marketing on

If it fits within your usecase, at 3k its much better to get the cheapest MBA and and a proper desktop Once you get so much power into a laptop its stops being portable Battery wont last, its heavy, loud and the brick is unwieldy M1s edge is in power efficiency, battery lasts for ever, its quiet and light a 2k desktop will outperform all of these laptops and be upgradable down the line Even on the go, you can access the desktop no problem with parsec if its running windows, moonlight + tailscale on linux
