I personally feel the most important thing is to keep your knives sharp - be it a no brandname knife or the finest Japanese or German knife Look at your local rediwallah chef! Spend a bit more and get some sharpening stones between 600-3000 If pushed get a 1000 grit one Sharpen the knives regularly that will be more useful
