Honestly like a big knife for kitchen work especially when rocking the knife the worst is smashing your knuckles of the cutting board even when pinch gripped when I was a cook they were sharpened every other week and I hated when they got on the smaller size and a tip for curing onion’s is cut the ends off and run them under water for a minute helps cut the sting away Comment from : Shane C |

You hold a chefs knife with a pinch grip only @30yrs in professional kitchens full or part time Less potential to harm the user ( doesn't roll over easily when cutting thru firm/ hard items) and others usually brMy first set were Wûstof Grand Prix Wish I still had them They are worth 3 times what I paid for them many moons ago br Nice knives guys! Do yourself a favor don’t go with the longest chef’s knife you see for general kitchen duty Start with something below 7” ideally 5” such as my main duty Wusthof Classic 5”Santoku The shorter knives are so much easier to control, they’re less fatigue inducing and, safer for the less experienced not to mention easier to maintain & hone/sharpen Also if you’re going to be putting in some time with your knife you really should consider holding it in hand before you buy and the way the handle feels in your unique hand isn’t something a picture can tell you, also never put a knife in the dishwasher just don’t! Also I learned this on my own those plastic cutting boards are good for cleanliness as they can be put in the dishwasher and truly sterilized but they feel like garbage to cut on and there’s no way you can get into a groove process chopping Bamboo is the cheapest way to get a good feeling cut and easy to maintain but nothing beats a nice hard wood cutting block/board So if you’re finding cutting and chopping to be tedious try a good board for me it was an amazing difference Comment from : Da A |
|
