ASE’s are kind of boring honestly And the type 2 design is not as good as the type 1 I know it’s a “bullion” coin but there’s definitely better options imo Maples and Brit’s are better looking I really like the st Helena coins I do still want to grab a couple ase’s for 2022 2021 and 2023 though just to have for my descendants in 2223 AD

American Eagles have a $10 higher premium than any other country's silver coin up here in Canada I was wanting to get some, but it just doesn't make sense to bother

The premiums on these are unconscionable I have a few because they’re pretty to look at But bullion is my mistress I see a day coming in the not too distant future, when I’ll be out in the workshop with an anvil, chisel, and three ounce sledge in preparation to visit the local farm Many farms and retailers in my state already accept silver as payment

2018 was the best time cuz that was when I was able to stack $500 oz with 200 of those being eagles the cost average $1702 My stacking will slow way down after the premiums got outrageous I buy more collectibles stuff now nuismatic and it always holds its value

I like to have a new year/date ASE each year as well as one of each of the six major sovereigns I've stacked I only bought a few last year and have 5 ordered this year not tubes like past years, though ha! I ordered an empty tube as well, just in case!

I just quietly stopped stacking the ASE after 2020 In 2021, I purchased two slabbed and graded ones just to have them and some proof ASE's No plans to stack the ASE this year either because of the price That said, I do miss stacking US silver bullion and hope to return to stacking them someday Big fan of the 100 gram Germania Mint you picked up, that one gets added to the fractional kilo!

I think people should be investing more in classic American Silver coins, Silver Heist like Morgans and Peace dollar, especially lower mintage dates These are going up like crazy each year It's better to buy these coins slabbed, hang on to them and flip them a few years later To make serious money you need them in a grade of MS65 or better

I think silver Eagles are worth it It's 1 oz of silver Any 1 oz silver bullion coin or round is worth it The problem are the crazy premiums on the silver Eagle Are people willing to pay those crazy premiums when you can get other bullion coins and rounds for a few dollars less The other question people should be considering is liquidity The American Silver Eagle has the highest liquidity, it's easily recognizable and you are guaranteed to get money for them It's a question of high liquidity vs high premium You are taking a risk
