💥With spot still higher than they have been in years, does it still make sense to collect high premium coins, or should you just be stacking precious metals right now? youtube/W4K6AKw39sU Comment from : Empire Precious Metals |
AGEs in 1/4s and 1/2s are worth it 1oz size Buffaloes all day 24k is world wide acceptance Abroad Maples, Brits, Phils and Perth Mint products are great along with Buffaloes 24k is where it’s at Need a 24k AGE! Comment from : Christopher McCormick |
IF YOU ARE IN THE USA, IMO THERE IS LITTLE OR NO DIFFERENCE IN BUYING THE 1 TROY OUNCE GOLD EAGLE OR THE 1 troy OUNCE GOLD BUFFALO ALTHOUGH OF DIFFERENT PURITY THEY EACH CONTAIN ONE OUNCE OF GOLD AND IF YOU ARE IN THE USA SHOULD YOU SELL A QUANTITY OF NON-USA GOLD COINS YOU MAY BE SUBJECT TO THE IRS FORM 1099 B A PAIN IN THE ASS Comment from : Villa 4248 |
Where can I grab a case like that? Very nice! Comment from : Appa Talks |

I’m curious I have heard a few foreigners say that 999 and 9999 like the Maple are now being more sought after because Krugerrand and AGE are not 24k? One guy said they won’t accept anything less than 999 fine Comment from : Aaron Valdi |
Not buying eagles because they are not pure gold Comment from : Standing On Mountain |
If you plan on buying wagonloads of carrots, gold is useful If you plan on buying bunches of carrots, you'll need silver, and even ounce-fraction silver Even the GSR favors silver I'm not seeing how selling silver in favor of gold, right now, makes any sense, unless you simply have ithat/i much Comment from : Caleb |
I converted all of my eagles to numismatics after reviewing current eminent domain law here n the US Collectibles do not fall within the definition of hoarding Comment from : Douglas Carlson |

Uhmtwo pointsbrbrThe first is that the European gold coins, especially the 20 Francs, also in Europe can be bought at a very low premium (no more than 3 over spot) They're cheap gold everywherebrbrSecondly, the American Gold Eagle and Buffalo also outside the United States generally (not always) have a higher premium than other bullion coins Here in Europe, American Gold Eagles are often about €50,- more expensive than the Philharmonic gold coinsbrbrA better measure to determine if a gold coin is worth it is looking at the average spread My experience is that the spread is pretty much the same for any gold coin, except for modern fractional gold coins the spread of which is much larger (essentially forcing you to sell peer-to-peer if out don't want to loose too much) Personally , I try to buy as close to spot as possible as popularity or recognisability also is a form of third party riskbrbrPersonally, I collect sets of the most liquid gold and silver from my home country and the six most liquid platinum, gold and silver coins worldwide: South African Krugerrands, Canadian Maple Leafs, American Eagles, Australian Kangaroo's, Austrian Wiener Philharmonics and British Britannia's Comment from : Cycling Philosopher |
Hi I recently bought some 1 oz gold buffalo coins was wondering if anyone knows why the coins aren’t the same thickness as not perfectly round like the eagles thanks James Comment from : James Colasanti |

In my part of the world, a sovereign is more recognizable than an American gold eagle Gold Maple is also more recognizable than AGE I'd say Gold maple is the most recognizable coin for worldwide USA, Canada, UK, Europe, South Africa, Australia, gold maple is well recognized Comment from : A Y |

OK , a guy in a bucket talking-doesn't excite me however, if you could spew blood from the eyes and mouth now, that might even get more clicks :) Comment from : Purple Pick |
AGE’s and CM’s are king at one of my LCS’s They like them because they are the easiest to sell, especially to newer buyers, but they sell and buy sovereigns, francs, pesos, ducats, etc The other LCS likes when I bring in different stuff to trade I like gold I can get at decent premiums, especially fractional gold I buy for a long term hold, I don’t worry too much about what will be in favor when I decide to sell Comment from : SilverChickadee |
Makes it easier to carry PMs on a plane if it is gold versus silver LOL for silver: Sir, let me help you get that up there Good lord, what do you have in there, bricks? Yes bricks :) Comment from : May the Schwarz be with you |

I'd like to see a full review of your gold and silver stack! Something to work towards 👌👍 Comment from : Vince Montanez |
My collecting/stacking style is fairly broad I collect/stack what ever I can get, when I can get it Due to being somewhat rural, I’ve found that my precious metals tend to cost more either due to mileage or shipping brIn a SHTF scenario, I would rather keester a tube of 1/10 oz AGEs than a tube of ASEs Comment from : UH Blackhawk |
My gold stack consists of entirely American Gold Eagles and 20 Franc gold coins except for a few goldback and a 1/10oz gold Kookaburra Comment from : secretace |
I wish I could afford gold! I just got started this year with silver Hopefully, I can work my way up to the goldilocks zone! Comment from : AL GOins |
That’s a cool storage box for your gold! I like all the gold coins, but AGEs are a little more expensive so most purchases are other gold coins You have a very nice collection of gold!🤙🏼 Comment from : Scott |

Dang ! with all that gold You are ready for the Apocalypse Comment from : Michael Rodriguez |
I prefer the old European Gold ( like the rooster he shows )I don't trust new gold Old gold is from centuries of kingdom's conquered, and their gold melted and coined in the victorious kingdom's image That gold is blood and sweat gold, mined by pick and hammer ( possibly by gnomes ! LOL ) You have all that history and they sell very close to spot New gold is created by gold dust particles not those heavy nuggets of the olden days When it comes time to sell though gold is gold it doesn't matter if its 90 or 99999 it all sells the same However as more people stack they will ultimately look to collect also, and those old coin are limited in supply I disagree with what he says about selling AGE's vs old foreign gold like ducatsI have gotten more for the old gold cause someone was looking for that particular year or coin design, and I have also been offered less for AGE because everybody has them and they are so common Comment from : King Midas |
Look at that gold! 🤩 $50 premium for what size? Quarters? I see $90 - $110 ‘round here for 1 oz AGEs or Buffalos I always ask coin dealers in the US what they personally stack, btw, and they all say the same thing: AGEs 100 agree on liquidity of AGEs Comment from : 2 is 1 |
Where did you get that box? Comment from : Pudenda Johnson |
StormybrDefinitely need to start flipping to add to my gold stack Comment from : Bullion Addict |

All gold is awesome but I tend to stick to gold from the American countries : us,mexico, and canada I know those sovereigns and such are liquid and all but I don't like them as much as the American stuff Comment from : Zaycream21 |

Slowed down my stacking, but if I had the funds, I'd be buying gold pesos or philharmonics - lower premiums I have some 1/4 eagles and they are beautiful Comment from : Cactus Jack SwAg |

Oh boy! Oh boy! What I would do for a stack of Gold Buffaloes and/or Eagles yummy Comment from : Rocky Mountain Bear |
My lcs has AGE’s for a few bucks cheaper, but I prefer 3 or 4 -9’s, I recently got my 1st buffalo and it’s the 08 MS70 1/10th baby Buffalo it’s sweet but I have a 1/4 and 1/10 Age’s Comment from : Chris P |
