Can you do rankings of silver rounds? My favorite right now is the aztec calendar Comment from : Nova |
I like the Panda coin but I'm not giving money to China and there messing with the weight isn't cool, international standard is the troy ounce, China always has an issue with international standards, they can't meet them consistently It has nothing to do with their using the metric system Ireland and the EU uses metric but also troy ounces for bullion It isn't complicated, I troy oz is 311g Comment from : GráinneMedb |
Love the Libertad, can't stand the Marvel coins, they may have re-sale value but they disgust me I avoid Brit and commonwealth coins also due to personal feelings Comment from : GráinneMedb |
347 the American silver eagle is unpatriotic Comment from : GráinneMedb |
That is so helpful ! I love to get your insight for the variety there is out there ! I am starting to collect/stack and I want to flip as well, so that is pure gold for me, keep it up ! As I am starting, I am trying to get a good base of what there is right now at a good price while trying to avoid the mints with milk spotting When I am up to date, I will start to stack more seriously while still picking the latest great releases priced below spot and a half Comment from : Guillaume Barnabe |
How you feel about the RAM kangaroos which started in 1993? Comment from : addicted to minis and loving it |
Meh Comment from : D Boss wave |

Who doesn't appreciate a MEH category 🤷 brAnd possibly a new 🐕 💩 category as well 🤔 Comment from : Bullion Addict |
The beauty is always in the eye of the beholder, but good reasoning Stormy Yes, you left off the Canadian Maple which would be in the Money category for me, even though the premiums are getting high Personally, I love the Panda's and being in UK we don't really have a beef with China, (until they drop a bomb on us) Number two would be Armenian Noah's Ark which you didn't include and three is the Austrian Philharmonic I would love to continue my tube run of Silver Eagles but at over £900 per tube, forget it when I can get a tube of 25 Britannia's for about £670 Sorry to say but the Marvel and Star Wars coins, least said the better!! 😜 Comment from : David James |
The interactive chart, did you make it or is it from that "ranking" website? I did a video with my opinion on what to stack You're on spot with your assessment for the flippers Comment from : Dept of Numismatics |
brand new stacker here, I love Philharmonics I am a music and arts guy so the theme resonates with me I also think Austrians have a reputation for integrity seen few other places Their wines for instance are incredibly pure (they don't like using chemicals) and their economists could have prevented the mess we are in if anybody listened Comment from : Silver Enjoyer |
Nice video Stormy 🔥I like the fact that you focus on coins that can be flip with a future profit I love the Libertads It would be nice to see some of the other European mints that have low mintage and amazing designs coins Some of my favorites are Germania, Czech, Carpathian, Pobjoy, Pressburg Cheers 🤟🤟 Comment from : SoCalstacking |
I have a proof libretad 13k minted carries a nice premium and resell value Comment from : Turtle Turner |
I love KrugerrandsI didn't realize I was so alone on this😂 Comment from : T g |
What how about the Noah’s ark silver coins you forgot to discuss on it Comment from : Joseph Lopez |
Good topic! I’ve only been buying tubes of Britannias since 2014, so I haven’t experienced the milk spotting Maybe from earlier years? I do stack the maples over ASE’s This year I’ve focused on 10 bars I like the kookaburras, plus the semi lower mintage, this year would be the last year with the Queen on it - over other HIGH montages coins (Britannia/ maples etc) brIf I had to choose, I’d pick the Krugs over the Roo’s Comment from : Eli |
Thank you for response, I appreciate it!brSorry for my mistyping, I meant the years of these silver Australia 1 oz Silver Dragon bar coins, from 2018- 2022 brThey are very expensive, their premium costs more than the spot price brDo you still think it is worth to buy ?brI checked online, it ranges from $70-$85? Very pricey???brWhat do you think ? THANK YOU 🙏 Comment from : Surachara Wirojratana |
What do you think of the 2018-202 Australia 1 oz Silver Dragon bar coin ???brWhich category would you put them ???brThank you for creating this video ! Comment from : Surachara Wirojratana |
Nice! I'm curious how you'd rank bars 10 oz bars are probably the most popular I really like the Germania mint bars, also any East India £10 bar's too Comment from : Luke F |
Uncle Joey mentioned Krugerands on an episode of Full House Comment from : D |

My three favorite, aesthetically…Maples, Brittanias and Aztec calendar Comment from : vikotto |
Love the Britannia, stopped buying them cause of the milk spots, maples are my best overall choice for quality and price Thanks for the vids Comment from : Nov Spas |
Looking for thoughts on my 50 silver Canada silver dollars I just got for $950 each Basically melt price With premiums so high that’s a good buy isn’t it or are they hated that much here in usa cause low purity? Comment from : Allen Iverson |
Maples and Britannias have multiple anti-counterfeiting features and low premiums The only ones I buy Comment from : Jim |
Kangaroos dead last and not even mention Maple Leaf? You're a clown Comment from : Mitral |
No Maples? And I'd put Pandas in danger, or dog doo I can't support a communist nation Just can't do it Comment from : FrankieJ dwm_edc |
I actually think you were being one grade generous with the ASE, because of the HORRIFIC premiums and Millions of mintage Now you are talking fighting wordsPhilharmonic that lowokyeah, I love it for the stacking purpose (typing as I watch) Spot on decision for the Libertad Oh man, now you are really killing mecount me as one of the 2 Krug lovers, and yes, it probably stems from the reference to them in Lethal Weapon WOWEmpire Precious Metals putting the Star Wars into the "Meh" category Dude, very jealous over the 10 oz Beskar barI only have 1 oz bars At least you like my Libertads, Brits, and Beskars Don't worry, I won't hold this against you, still love you Stormy 😅🤣😂 Comment from : Kilroy Was Here |
WHY did you not even mention Silver Maples?! Beautiful and 9999 pure Sovereign coinage too You didn't mention Buffalo rounds, which are great for resale as well, even if they are only rounds Comment from : Venus Love Factor |
Nice video! I have been only doing this for a short time but I do notice there are trends of what people like I collect what "I" like and I also think about the premium involved Nice seeing you in a shirt vs a black hoodie Handsome either way! Comment from : Keiko Surfs 🏄♀️ |
Stormy! You forgot to include my favorite silver bullion coin to stack at this time, the Canadian Silver Maple Leaf It is a great looking coin From the quality perspective, it is four nines (9999) fine silver and since 2018 they implemented the Mint Shield Technology to prevent the milk spots, and this is one of my main reasons to stack it Also, from a location perspective, Canada is just north to US in America, so it is well recognized by everyone In addition, from a cost perspective, it has lower premiums than the American Silver Eagle Thanks for your video and for the opportunity to bring my thoughts and opinion Comment from : Angel Maldonado |
Beware of coin dealers! Comment from : fieldsidereplay |
I enjoyed this video 🐸 👋 Comment from : TehJones |
I've absolutely been going crazy buying Libertads great to hear this Comment from : Jonathan Crocker |
Outstanding personal analysis and comparison I agree with most everything you said here and I learned a great deal Thank you One word of caution: Although I agree with your take on the Star Wars series of silver coins (I've never been a fan), keep in mind The Department of Numismatics is a Star Wars freak He's going to have a conniption fit when he hears/reads any criticism of his favorite coin series So keep your drapes closed and your doors locked for a week or two until The DoN gets past this modest criticism of his personal favorite lol Comment from : bad gateway |
I took you more seriously when you were wore your Star Wars helmet Comment from : zzyzxRDFwy15 |
With the exception of the Silver Eagle, I buy only official coinage of countries that contain 9999 silver per ounce Comment from : R S |
I'm quite happy with my stack I have not been concerned with milk spots or other "negative" attributes Fine silver stacking is a personal choice It will all be a store of value vs fiat Comment from : Susan Pitts |
Nice rankings, Stormy I'm surprised to see Marvel coins so high up there I'll have to give em another look Regarding the ASE debate, for whatever reason, price-is-price, and people are continuing to pay up for them Bid-and-ask are well above spot, and I don't see that changing, despite the high mintage and ubiquitous nature of the product For that reason, I've gotta maintain my exposure to eagles Comment from : Weekly BULLION |
yooo Comment from : Abuchi Mbakwe |
Libertads ate definitely my favorite to collect For stacking Krugs are a cheap option for a sovereign minted coin, and much better than the kangaroos Comment from : Anxious Stacker |
Great video stormy great tier list have a great rest of your week Comment from : 🔵 MRBLUE (NATE)🔵 |

If I was going to get a gift for a Marvel fan it wouldn't be a coin Assuming they could read, it would likely be 'How To Be An Adult' Comment from : Butts-R-Fly Effect |
Not sure why you hate kugerrands so much 😂I thought that they were well trusted and recognized They are a cheap sovereign bullion coin, and have a decent sell back price Comment from : Jimmy Licari |
Libertads are one of my favorite to collect Comment from : 🐲 My Kitten Is A Grand Master 🐉 |
Everyone is entitled to their opinion and mine is different Comment from : Ant B Stackn |
Clearly this list was made based on selling for profit Hopefully people understand this if they are stackers and not sellers Comment from : Old City Stacking |

Great list! Comment from : Coyotegrad Collectables |
🧂 salty stormy today 😅 I love swans and libertads but I'd do maples, for a main part of stack, but a lot of roos, philharmonics and kugarangs for cheaper weight, cheaper than 90 for that 1 ounce Comment from : natoman123 |
I'm one of the 2 people in the world wanting dog shit 😂The Roo is one I do not have Need and want a Roo and a Rand!! So desirable to me Good video Stormy! 3 outa 5 Crankys! br😠😠😠 Comment from : The Cranky Stacker |
The Britannia is very nice, think it's the best looking bullion coin of all -- but I'd personally knock it down because Charles is such an awful person the reverse just makes me sick seeing it Comment from : A H |
The silver Shreks from apmex are money all day everyday They will be above the marvel ones when the big world events unfold Comment from : West Lake Juggernaut |

Ask a European (not sponsored) channel to make the same ranking The result would be your ranking upside down 😉 It’s always interesting to see how different the markets are Comment from : Austrian Stacker |
