This will be a great one for recommending to some friends from the karaoke scene who ask for help learning the basicsbrbrIn case you might be curious, my current gear includes BC Rich 'Custom Shop' (Mockingbird & Assassin) neck-thru guitars, Marshall (CODE 25) practice amp, JOYO wireless, Schaller strap locks, and Dunlop (073mm Sharp) picks The strap locks became a 'must have' on all my guitars ever since a Kramer guitar collided with a wedge monitor circa 1989, requiring extensive repairs That one, with battle scars, became a hand-me-down, my son's first guitar circa 1997

Why is the sound muted on this one? Your other videos have been great for getting back into practice after a lengthy hiatus following orthopedic surgery on my shoulder! I was basically a real-life 'Eddie from Stranger Things' back in the day, but my career kinda 'peaked' with Senior Skip Day '83 My last time in a band was in '02, before losing my wife to Vioxx side effects, and my first electric guitar was an off-brand (unbranded) 'junk pile rescue' in 1976 These videos have been very helpful for my long-overdue return to practicing regularly Again, thank you

Thanks for reminding me that you can still shred with just one string I've had my first guitar for about 2 weeks, and I think looking at 6 strings and all the different sounds that can come out of it is just a little overwhelming, so it feels like I can't play awesome music, but I just kicked on OD, cranked the volume to 8, and moved my fingers on the low E and literally tired myself out from getting caught up in the sound Thank you so much for that
