Two grocery-saving tips:br1 DONT buy avocados!!! Wasted so much money on those!!br2 DO drink tea! Much cheaper than coffee (i just drink ONE cup of coffee a day, cuz i love it, but tea is much cheaper) Regular tea, flavored teas, and FREE teas…such as peppermint, lemon balm, cedar-tips, etcbrTea + bread&peanut butter+ a piece of fruit is supper Tea+ rice + tinned sardines or herring + sliced bell peppers & carrot sticks is supper Tea+naan + hummous +small salad is supper So many small, filling, cheap suppers you can have with tea…and since it’s so much lower in caffeine than coffee, you CAN drink it in the evening brAlso, if you have a sweet tooth, halveh is SUPER sweet, so one container of halveh goes a LONG way…served with TEA, of course!!! Friends was a unique series Things like that don't come along that often in TV terms So many of us could relate to the group of them, or had a favourite Mine changed according to my mood, but I suspect I'm as weird as Phoebe (smelly cat, anyone? Unforgettable!) and as neurotic as Monica but sadly have only ever looked as fabulous as Rachel once or twice in my life (SO FAR) - see what I mean? I've fallen for guys as dopey as Joey just because they looked cute and spent far too much time with Chandler-types when I could have handled Ross much better There's always opinions to be had, even now, years after the last series ended Who doesn't want a group of friends like that?! brbrSorry! Bit of a ramble there But I bet you agree with some of that, Kate!brbrI've lived alone for much of my adult life as a preference I am surprised and delighted that there is still something new here for me to take away from this video Thank you, Kate Have a wonderful weekend I hope the weather there is as lovely as it is here at the moment - blue skies, sunshine, birdsong Life is good Comment from : Amanda Youngs |
As much as you may want to have a pet like a cat or a dog that’s where the money cranks up things are so expensive just imagine $20 a week for cat food and at the end of the month that’s $80 and that’s not counting the litter or any toys, any grooming, or any medical bills, so before you jump in to getting another person ha ha to take care of hold off until you have enough to accomplish that Comment from : Tina Gonzalez |
Heck yes! Comment from : P Taylor |

I’ve been living alone since college for 28 years, and I’ve only ever bought two pieces of new furniturea kitchen table and a glider rocker with ottoman! Everyone loves my house and it’s coziness And don’t spend your $ on stuff that you don’t need that will just become clutter Comment from : tgayer1 |

Living close to work not only saves gas money, but also reduces the cost of owning your car (which is one of your biggest expenditures): maintenance, wear and tear, insurance, registration, parking (big expense in large cities), etc If you can keep your car going even a year longer and thus have more time to save up for its eventual replacement (and reduce or eliminate car payments), that’s a big chunk of cash in your pocket Comment from : Ellen Dunn |

1000 agree with all of these recommendations and do follow them!! I would add that thrift stores are excellent inexpensive places to find furniture, small appliances, clothes Also batch cooking and freezing meals, buy from the day old bakery section, fruits and vegetables, just process and freeze when you get home Comment from : Carrie Smith |
I will also add concerning streaming services, cable and such, consider purchasing an over the air antenna for TV watching I canceled my cable service five years ago and haven't missed cable at all The cable service kept going up and up and the way it was structured with their packages, I didn't have much choice in the channels I was paying for, and I only watched a few of them on a regular basis anyway I'm not a tech savvy person, but it was so easy to connect the antenna cables to my TV The one time cost of the antenna was about $10000 If you live very close to your local stations, a lower price one will probably suffice However, I still wouldn't get the cheapest one either, but as much as you can afford because you will have it a long time I checked out serveral, read reviews, etc just like you would on any similar purchase I've had no problems with mine, and there are many stations you can watch for free This saved me about $13000 a month, and I'm guessing that same cable service would be at least $15000 in today's market brI listen to many free and great podcasts, watch and listen to great news coverage on the free apps as well on my smart phone There are excellent You Tube videos for educational needs, and You Tubers you can subscribe to and the vast array of interesting and informative topics are endless I have an android phone and its amazing what you can watch or listen to on it If your budget allows, purchase a tablet as a backup that has a bigger screen Connect this to your smart phone account to save money I just wanted to mention this to your viewers in the event that people aren't aware of what all they can get with an over the air antenna, and if you have a smart phone for viewing, this will suffice for many peoples needs Comment from : Helen Veasey |

"Conscious spending" is a phrase we all should be following at all times When I moved from a large metro area to a bucolic rural scene my income was reduced by 60 I started evaluating every purchase in terms of how many hours of minimum wage work it would cost me Really changed my mindset to equate spending with earning Guess I was raised in a bubble Now I'm retired with a paid off mortgage and almost no other debt and I'm happier than ever Thank you Comment from : Charlotte Ryner |
