I tried doing online courses when that first came out They lost all the digital records and i ended up getting an incomplete for the first semester Being a kid it put a bad taste in my mouth about colleges even though i wanted to better myself Ended up just paying for the semester and leaving

Also consider a side hustle or business while in school, do internships and build your connections/network It's also a great idea to double major to expand potential and skills which community college usually does not offer

I went to a state school and, with a combination TAP, Pell, and cash, I got out without any debt And, I'm not even doing the same thing I studied and it gave me enough leverage to the point that I'm making about what my in debt friends are I don't regret it at all Mfs need to stop leaving the state to go to school, most states will subsidize half or sometimes even all of your schooling if you go to school in the same state, but private schools have people convinced that these 20-somethings need some semblance of independence (which, for some reason, involves leaving the state to get into debt and not like, you know, just living on your own in a college that's near you)

Unless you aren’t paying for it, please please please just go to a good instate school IMHO You will save so much money brbrAfter high school, I had several friends leave the more expansive private school of their dreams and transfer to an instate public university for cost reasons alone College really is what you make of it and you can get an amazing education if you know what you’re looking for

Not quite It had one of the lowest unit requirements and while some classes were great other poly sci classes were quite a joke Do I think you should go to a 4 year college rather than not ? Yes brRegrets, I have a few But that is ok No one lives a perfect lifebrDo i wish I was a high income person with a nice big house , lots of dough in the bank? Yes But that is ok, I have thus far lived longer than so many others

I spent $56,000 on my Bachelor Of Fine Arts degree & I thought that was crazy at the time (2008) Looking back, $56K isn't all that much considering the lifestyle & fun I had In fact, I wouldn't have thought of investing in real estate & renting out to housemates if it weren't for my 3 years living in dormitories

If you are interested in real estate, you can get your broker certificate and license under a year after high school, and you can pay off you tuition and license fee on your first sale/buy So maybe think about it and some research on it

i studied political science in school mainly because i needed a BA and did not want to have to study at a university in the USA I started at a community college and stayed there until i had only one class which was a remedial math course which i could not convince the school to let me simply take a college algebra so i would not have to waste my time Seeing that I only had one class left I decided to transfer to an online university which did allow me to take college algebra without needing a remedial class I ended up getting a B in College Algebra and i proudly walked into the Community college and showed them my transcript and walked out with my 2-year degree While i was studying online i got my TEFL certificate and went to Brazil to teach English If i stayed in the USA i would earn 1000 hour flipping burgers at Mcdonald's If i am teaching in Brazil I make 15 to 20 an hour talking to people for 24 hours a week If i stayed in the USA I would be staying in a boarding house with roommates who are sometimes bringing drugs, prostitutes, or violence in the house whereas in Brazil I would spend the same amount staying in a Hostel where I would meet people from all over the world and if it happened where i did not like someone they would normally leave within a few days Plus i was able to learn to speak Portuguese and Spanish Basically i created my own study abroad program and after i got my BA I went to China where I am able to earn decent money teaching English to Children While all my friends back home are stuck in offices and shoveling their drive ways during their vacation time I am singing and dancing with little kids and spending my holidays on the beach sipping coconuts I figure if I were to return to the USA the Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, Khmer, Turkish, Russian, and Vietnamese will look good on my resume

I live in France , i was payed to get my software engineering master degree didnt spent a dime xD( i was in high end public college and i did apprentisship in big computer science firm they paid for my school and they paid me monthly to work on their projects)

I have another option: go to a community college, earn an Assoicates degree, get into sales or recruiting, get a job with a big corporation, and have the company pay for your Bachelors degree A lot of corporations are paying for employees’ undergrad degrees A lot of salespeople and recruiters earn over $100K annually WARNING: results may vary

I "dormed" at my parents house and went to a University within a half hour drive that cost in total for less than what 1 year at most of my friends schools cost A lot of my friends went to dorm-away in state schools so I could go to parties with them and hang out for some of the college experience without the price-tag Unless you are trying to work at Google or something, a degree is a degree, it doesn't matter where it is from as long as the school is not one of those online degree mills
