I'm getting a BS in Information Technology I know it's totally possible to get a great career in IT without a degree, but I want to move abroad and it'll be impossible to get sponsored for a visa otherwise!! So sad but it's reality Employers hiring from out-of-country want to see that big fat paper that says degree on it Thankfully I'll only be in about 10k student debt, so it's manageable

Shane- I appreciate you acknowledging Vocational/Practical Nurses Many people don’t know what they are I’ve seen job listings for “Nurses and LPNs”Or people including RNs and job recruiters say “you should go back to school and become a Nurse” Yet we have a nursing license and are therefore Nurses All that said, there are a ton of LPN jobs and RN jobs but people shouldn’t do it just for the money You need to enjoy at least some aspects of the actual job Not just the stability, money and more days off

With an MIS major, someone can also go into data analyst positions (although statistics is strangely more desired from a employer seeking employees perspective, although data analyst software like power BI and tableau is more MIS-based)

I don’t know why i got excited when he mentioned my major (Statistics) although i hate it, took me 7 years to graduate and my GPA is 21 😂brBut seriously its a great major but its fucking hard and not so many employers knows it, you’ll have fucking IS, MIS and industrial engineers graduates competing with you on your jobs for some reasonbrBut employers who knows its importance will be amazed and look to you in admiration brSo you’ll have to simplify what you studied and its importance
