I USED to play guitar until 1995, just less than a month from my 31st birthday, when I was involved in an explosion that left me with extensive burns over 85 of my body, and have severe nerve damage in my left hand I'm also a writer, and after I regained the use of my left hand (I can use it, I just can't feel with most of it), I retrained myself how to type (like for this purpose) I haven't even held a guitar in nearly 3 decades! But now, I recently bought a DIY guitar kit and had fun building it It wasn't expensive, and after all this time, I want to get back into it And I have never seen a simpler approach to playing than what I just saw in this video! Thanks, Steve! Comment from : KingScorpion73 |

I see all these great appreciation comments to Steve and y’all are 100 right I’ve played 50 years but still learn something from Steve daily Keep on learning playing and practicing , to many (me included) want to “Be”‘guitar players but aren’t willing to put in the time and push thru the frustration and the “it ain’t happening “days, those ones you know you’re in tune, timings right but…everything sounds off, take a break! This comment is long winded just keep on Rockin’ hate to see any more Grammies going to folks that know zero about music or play Comment from : derek colton |

What a great lesson, Steve! I've just come across your channel, as i was searching on how to play lead guitar id classify myself as intermediate i wanted to be able to create some nice acoustic solos in the songs ive written, and this video helped I do have a question however if my verse is just Aminor and C, would i just pick the 8th fret for C and play that? is there a position on the 6th string for a minor? Comment from : Marlon Laurencelle |
|

Dude This is a game changer! I guess I was in the right place at the right time when I watched the vid I've been playing off an on since I was 15 I'm 31 now Life goes by quick I've been sticking with the electric for over a year now and have made leaps and bounds in regards to progressing on the guitar This is the ONE video that makes sense No over the top music theory diving into Ionian or Phyrigian modes Nothing that isn't too simple but isn't too complicated Just finding the box and playing within the parameters of that chord structure such as A or G I'm not gonna mention the other guy here on YT that does guitar lessons but we all know who he is You've covered more in 5 minutes than I have watching his videos covering scales, modes and soloing If I have to recommend one video when it comes to soloing, you're the man, Steve!!!! brbrThis makes sense Now if I can chickenpick like Knopfler I'll be a happy camper!
