I travel alone often so, I carry a dummy wallet and phone I also wear a cheap watch and minimum jewelry My real phone and wallet are carried separate from the dummy items I only wear my real jewelry when I'm going out with friends/family

For use at a stadium where you need a clear bag, I’ve used a clear zip-up cosmetic case - the kind sold at any drug store They have different sizes and styles and if it doesn’t have a handle, I just attached a handle to the zipper pull If you want it to work as a shoulder bag, it’s easy to sew a strap or two to it Sew right through the plastic No sewing machine needed!

I actually have the cross body you are showing Love it because it is not black so can be carried in the evening Of course, downside is it gets dirty But lots of great inside pockets Slim enough that it can fit under you coat/sweater when going thru the line that they check how many bags you are bringing thru security I also love the scarves that have the hidden zipper

My hubby and I are seniors doing a bucket list trip to Europe later this year I like that small Travelon cross body bag, but am curious-- I really don't need the crossbody since my glasses and stuff can go in my backpack day bag What I need is to have my phone accessible on a crossbody to take photos and there are cross body phone cases that have RFID protection pockets in the the case Might this work instead of the crossbody bag? One tip for bags is very cleaver in bars or restaurants is to put the strap under your chair leg So unless they cut or unhook it no matter what distraction they use it is not going anywhere

I have found that merely bring a crdit card is enough for travelling to the UK and EU Paper money is not used in most places, including for travel such as coarched and taxies It's been this way for years so I don't know where she's coming from Has she been to the UK or EU in the last four years?

Two weeks ago we were attacked and robbed in Belize City 2 blocks from our upscale hotel in broad daylight My husband had a light nylon Osprey day pack on his back and I had a small cross shoulder bag by PACSAFE My bag was anti theft with locking zippers, wire mesh to prevent slashing and strong wire cable in the straps to prevent cutting The 2 thugs attacked us from behind and literally ripped the bags off our bodies We fought back hard to keep them on us but after being dragged along the road, our legs, knees, arms and elbows were so badly scraped, bloodied and sore we finally had to succumb Plus he was dragging me by the bag and the sturdy strap was strangling my neck It was horrific!

You can email a photocopy of your passport to yourself too You can do this with your Driver’s License If you get pulled over by police here in the states, you can show them your ID on the phone What they really need is just your full legal name, and it is a plus for them to now the state and license number Once they have a name they can look you up Some states are doing fingerprints right there bedside the road

Some places like Pakistani are not safe Their Hotels are required to provide security for their customers Places can be so dangerous for tourist just because they know the area and place is new to you Sometimes you don’t speak the language Their are predators watching for tourist Mexico is very dangerous Their entrance routes to tourist locations is where spotters are located to spot tourist They work for the cartel Most people are unaware of when our government has issued warnings for traveling to certain places Mexico is one of those places right now

I wear a neck wallet that’s rfi and usually can’t be seen on while under my shirt I also carry a cross body bag with locks and anti slash but most of my important items are under my shirt I travel off shoulder season so it’s cool and I’m layered I keep a little money in the purse I add more in a restroom if needed but if robbed they get a purse with no more than 40 euro

Back in 2009, my daughter did her undergraduate at U of Toronto Used to consumer protections here in the US, I hated that every business in Toronto would print my entire CC number on both their and my receipt I hope they don’t anymore up there Too, the latest scam here is for a scammer to follow you to the cashier When you pay by credit or debit card, they covertly read the heat signature your fingers left on the keypad when you entered your pin or other info with an IR sensor The only way to combat it is to press random buttons after your transaction is complete, to foil their plan!

I always have some local currency when I land in a foreign country I bank with US Bank It allows me to order the amount online and pick up the cash at my local bank branch for a modest transaction fee I suspect most major banks provide this service The larger financial institutions tend to negotiate the best exchange rate I usually have enough to cover the airport transfer and perhaps for a meal or even a day or so Learned this lesson the hard way I planned to use the ATM after arrival at Fiumicino and use the cash for a ticket on the Leonardo express Couldn’t find a working ATM after a time consuming and frustrating search Luckily there was a ticket window that took my credit card Airport services like ATMs can be variable and unpredictable
