Great video, even though it’s over a year old! Because I have built a prepper pantry over the years I have a ton of food I can pull off the shells which has saved me a ton of money over the pandemic years! With that being said, my kids eat meat, but I am a vegetarian, and I have learned that meat can be a proper portion, and still be affordable, it could also be considered part of a dish and not the main dish, which also helps reduce the meat cost when you’re serving it to your family! Vegetables fresh are on the rise so I buy frozen when I can to combat the cost of fresh vegetables and frozen vegetables are actually fresher than fresh vegetables anyways lol I absolutely love this video Thank you for sharing I have a family of four since my husband is currently overseas and we have three Chihuahuas Our monthly budget usually consist of around 400 or 500 total That’s also sometimes includes home items as well 3:53 3:57 Comment from : Without Limits Budgets With AarynLynn |

I think the thing about this method is to already have provisions like you have that big pantry, which would mean to spend more in the beginning Comment from : Melony Tips |

My favorite app for recipes is Super Cook Comment from : Blue Fire Summer |
For me shopping online works best to avoid temptation and buy stuff, not on my shopping list compared to going in the store but there are times I do go in if we run out of something specific like milk or my daughters want to cook something special If you're in Texas HEB has free curbside And lately, I've been getting my proteins from imperfect foods We're eating more at home which is healthier and we can stay within our budget Comment from : aromasoulmarisabel |
This is so helpful! As a vegan, I would recommend to consume more protein since it does keep us more satisfied Many fruits and veggies have protein, but it’s very low Some fake meats are a bit expensive, but if possible get some Tofu, beans, lentils, garbanzo, and many other legumes are a staple and definitely buy them Get them in bulk if possible Comment from : Lili21 |
I ended up with 9 Rotel cans in my pantry lolol Comment from : The Ropes of Renovation |

I have never "intentionally" meal prepped for the week ahead before Everything was kind of in my head, and decided on the spur of the moment The problem was I had to run to the supermarket during the week, spend the extra gas and time to go, and usually the nearest supermarket is more expensive than my regular one, just to get one or two ingredients While watching your video, a light bulb went off in my head I must meal prep on a Friday for the week ahead I go to the produce market on Saturday mornings and the supermarket, later in the day So by doing imeal prep the day before, it will eliminate the emergency runs during the week And these mid week runs always made me over-run my weekly budget brSo I am really happy that I watched your video just now for now I have a "Meal Plan System" Thank you Comment from : Jacqueline Samuda |

This was exactly what i planned on trying to do in my first month of budgeting I personally spend about 700 eating out and between my husband, and I and our daughter our grocery bill is about 500-600 a month! There is not way I can decrease those categories more than half instantly, like I tried in the past! Comment from : Autumn W |

Hi there, I bought the bbp box set last month Are these meal planning worksheets incorporated in the box sets now or is it only in the live rich planner or the bbp big workbook? I went through all the free templates on your site and none of them are formatted quite like the one you're using here I'd love to use this template specifically for weekly meal planningbrbrIt would be so awesome to get this template specifically on its own, maybe as a digital download template we can buy, if it's not going to be included in the bbp box set Comment from : Kae0_o |

hi there, I never knew you would go to Pinterest and print off recipes I absolutely love your way of meal preparation I will definitely take this on board, as a 58 yr old woman, I know I have become a little stale when weekly meal prep and shop, I seem to be paying and buying more now with only my hubby and myself than when I had my children at home and all their friends turning up needing a meal or two New subscribed to your channel from Australia I love the idea of a sinking fund too, I will have to work my brain around this to incorporate this into my budget Comment from : Christine Anne Matias |

At my house, our largest monthly bill is our groceries We are a family of 4 living in Ohio We average an estimate of $260 to $300 a week (that includes all household items, all beauty products & pet food I would LOVE to get that amount down some, even if only $50 a week Your video was very helpful & I will try these tips this week on "grocery day" this week Thank you for the video! Im happy to learn that almost all my life (living alone) I`ve been doing my grocery shopping almost as you do! ♥ Comment from : Isabella Nájera |
As a retired person, living alone on limited income, I make it a point to maintain a well-stocked pantry, long term storage, and items that last indefinately I eat what I feel in the mood takes me, because endless choices are on hand I never open something new until what is open is used, no need to waste food Using that method, I never find a need to meal plan, could be different if I had a family to cater to, but that is not the case I have shopped mostly at Grocery Outlet for their WOW deals and bought multiples of items I know I will use, this saves me half to 75 on my grocery bills I am mostly vegetarian or vegan, with the occasional addition of fish A plant based diet is healthier, kinder to animals and the environment and saves a lot of money I make it a point to never waste anything, although I do allow myself a special treat once in a while Especially, during a snow storm and being house -bound, I can honestly say, I have everything I could possibly need, enough to last a very long time, without ever having to go to the store Even without the snow storm it is a good plan to eliminate in-person contacts as much as possible, Knowledge of proper food storeage also helps eliminate waste, Comment from : S Jordan |

I just found your channel and am glad I did Your intro about food/groceries being the silent killer and needs turning into wants had me saying that’s me Along with thinking about making drastic goals I def want to get a handle on my food budget because that is what totally hits my budget the hardest and where I go over monthly Comment from : Angel McNeil |
Ugh I am exhausted! Comment from : Diane Riedel |
👍👍👍 Comment from : Rose Petal |
The amount of energy put into this seems misguided Such that if one could not feasibly live day to day due to an inability to prioritize; the problem likely isn't buying bell peppers too early brbrHowever, I think is a lot of good information about thinking about food spending to reduce wastefulness The hokum about whole 30, highlighter planners, checklists, and so on is not so great brbrThe problem is philosophical Not practical Comment from : Labor Days |
Thanks for the tips, where did you get the cans rack? I am looking for one but they are flimsy, yours looks sturdy, please let me know thanks again! Comment from : Gabriela Britos |

There are plenty of plant proteins Where do you think your protein sources (ie cows) get their proteins? Cut out the middleman (cows, etc) and get your protein directly from the source- plants 🌱💪🏻 Comment from : Ev3 |
That is so awesome Turned my head upside down that your budget is under $30 I think the opposite, like I spend up to my budget, instead of spending only what we need Printed the inventory sheets Thank you for all you share Changing my life and my kids’ lives one day and one dollar at a time Comment from : Sunny Kay |

I'm so glad you talked about not setting a budget or following what seems to be around on the net a lot which is $100 per person per week Especially because I live in Australia and our food prices are very expensive yet a lot of people seem to believe this is the magic number because it's on You Tube by a few influencers I recently did a video on my channel talking how I meal plan and I do exactly the same as you a few people said it was a lot of effort but again I'm not wasting time at the shops, running out of items, or massively stock piling things and don't have any food waste so we are happy! Comment from : Frugal Fun Mum |
Wow this was a great video! I was expecting for you to just jump in and talk about the meals but you went much further by explaining your mindset behind that as well as how you shouldn’t set hard and fast budget limits necessarily because it depends largely on your dietary requirements I think that’s the first time I’ve heard anyone from any of these meal prep videos actually talk about these so thanks! Also I noticed your pantry full of Campbell’s soups Ever since watching Bobby Flay I’ve been reading the ingredients labels and was dismayed to know that pretty much ALL of Campbell’s soup products are GMO or “bioengineered” that I’ve completely cut them out of my meals Not sure if you talk about fasting in any of your videos but Aubrey Marcus talks about 7-10 day fasts in his audiobook and said that long fasts like that can not only detox your body (and also lose weight — not that you have to worry!) but how it’s also thought to dramatically reduce the risk for cancer in the future 7-10 day fasts every quarter, I believe Not something I’ve yet tried but am planning on doing later Lastly I love the outtakes! Very well produced and looks like it could’ve come from a network show! Comment from : M Sport |

For me, Instacart has saved my life I live in the city with no car, and I do not live very close to the grocery store I know I can get the best deals on It’s so worth it for me to budget the extra fees to shop at my fave store because it’s typically cheaper than to spend $$$ on Ubers I value the time so much more! It saves me at LEAST 3 hours a trip Comment from : Mina Ackerman |
