For anyone reading this… If you have the cash or resources to find it:br- Michael Hampton analytical figure drawingbr- Marc Brunet anatomy coursebr- Will Weston drawing the human figurebr- Proko coursebrbrThe trick to drawing anatomy is not about learning the shortcuts or short hand things, that comes later with time and repetition It’s about understanding the basic 3d volumes that make up the body Some refer to this as the mannequin figure And its important because it covers things like perspective, tilts/gesture of the upper lower body, and placement of the limbs/head brbrAfter that, you can use guys like Hampton/Proko/Brunet These will help you understand not only where the muscles go (in terms of where the originate/connect), but also the simplified and complex way to draw them This is CRUCIAL Do not skip this Once you understand where a muscle connects to on the skeleton/mannequin It is literally like connecting the dots brbrThe way to study and remember effectively Do not try to absorb too much Don’t study for more than 45 mins-1 hour You have a limited capacity on what you can retain Instead focus on something small, and practice that small thing for like a couple of hours each day Until you are comfortable with that small thing By the time you’re done with that, you would have solidified that portion into long term memory The basic structure, connections and how to draw it in various angles brbrBonus tip: When learning, just spend around 30 mins, just IDENTIFYING where muscles are on the body from various poses It helps you get familiar with identifying it on the human body for the future I tend to do this step BEFORE I do any drawing of it brbrHope this helps someone!

Sniffing the paper 😂brYes! I would have totally done the same, the smell of fresh paper and wooden pencil on paper is a wonderful smell I cant do mechanicals lolbrbrI like practicing anatomy with my hands doing odd angles from time to time but it is very limiting Drawing other people out in the wild is also another way, just make sure not to be creepy about it 😂

I wanna learn Anatomy as well I wasn't really into it but I amazed at it now and I used to draw anime but now I want to do something different I love shading and drawing in pencil and as I am doing online classes now, I have more time at home to relax and draw ❤ this video was relaxing and helpful and one day I'd be as good as I'd like to be ❤

Idk if this helps but there is this book that helped with understanding anatomy called “Classic Human Anatomy in Motion: The Artist's Guide to the Dynamics of Figure Drawing” I found it to be useful I hope this helps!
