Hello… I have a quick and random question for you I have an original bank wrapped roll of 1964D Roosevelt silver dimes I cannot decide on whether it would be better for me to sell the role unopened and unsearched as is…or if it would be better to go ahead and open the role to search for varieties If you look on PCGS the 1964D Roosevelt dime has an unbelievable 8 PCGS recognized varieties…which makes this role awfully tempting to break open Not only are there a lot of varieties, but all of them seem to be very valuable at the mint state level…and this is what makes my decision difficult May I ask what your advice would be? I really would appreciate it By the way, I am still relatively new within the coin collecting hobby…and I have learned so much from your channel…and I really do appreciate your content Lol I’m not saying this to kiss your butt at all…I’m just being honest This is also why I’m coming to you with this question I value your insight and that’s the truth Thank you very much and have a great rest of your weekend! 🙂💪🏼👍🏼 Comment from : david argent |

Back when my work let us order halves and dollars in our weekly change order, I was ordering 100 dollars in dollar coins for a friend, and when they arrived, all 4 rolls had "John Quincy Adams" printed on the side, along with the company I guess rolled them, which I now know from your video they rolls alot of coins, NF String I saved them cus I figured it might be worth it eventually, would those count as original rolls? Comment from : Redvines69 |
|
A friend of my mom's, her husband passed and we were helping sort thru some things he had been interested in He had been saving pennies for years, mostly just buying rolls from the bank, and alot he had sorted by year into rolls Out of all of them, the only ones that appear to be original rolls were 6 from 1974 which I'm saving just because it happened to be my birth year I don't think there is anything worth opening the rolls over though if I'm right The other rolls I saved were 20 rolls he made of 1970s's because someday I want to see if any are small date, and I figure with that many examples to look thru it might be easier for me to figure out the difference between small and regular Comment from : Redvines69 |

My grandfather in 1930 bought a roll of 1909s vdb cents for 30000 at his watch shop in a little town of victoria Texas , I saw this roll in 1972, it had writing on it, there was also a rock of quartz and gold , and a boy scout multi-tool spoon fork The three combined were too fat to fit in my bluesman pocket as a 14 year old kid Comment from : Rodney Davis |

With the prices for silver, I quit buying 999 bullion and started buying BU Choice US coins Mainly Peace and Morgan dollars that are fresh out of someone’s safe or storage I’ve found that the best dates and condition are now being offered for sale or at least I’m finding more of exceptional coins than ever I also try to buy uncirculated Mercury dimes, Washington Quarters and Walking Liberty and Franklin halves I’ve tried to get them in rolls, but only a few met my expectations, so I obtain them one at a time or cherry picking If you know of anyone that wants to sell actual bankrolls of anything silver, please inform Great video Comment from : Mart Hyatt |

Double die Types from wiki:brbrbrClass 1, Rotated

brClass 3, Design
brA class 3 doubled die results when a hub bearing a different design stamps a die bearing another design
brClass 4, Offset
brA class 4 doubled die results when the die receives an additional hubbing that is misaligned in an offset direction
brClass 5, Pivoted
brA class 5 doubled die results when the die receives an additional hubbing that was misaligned via rotation with a pivot point near the rim
brClass 6, Distended
brA class 6 doubled die results when the die receives an additional hubbing from a hub that was distended
brClass 7, Modified
brA class 7 doubled die results when the hub is modified between the die's hubbings (eg, a design element was chiseled off)
brClass 8, Tilted
brA class 8 doubled die results when a die and/or hub is tilted during a hubbing Comment from : Jim James |

Hi Daniel & Robert, I follow you both for your knowledge and caring for the coin Community Yes, I have fell for buying rolls only to find many coins with no mint Mark's or the same common dates I now don't trust buying any rolls of coins any longer as I see too many loose ends that are fake crimped If you can help steer me in the right direction of where to buy real unsearched rolls so I may purchase some I would really appreciate it Thanks guys for the informative videos Earlene from RI Comment from : Earlene Bertenshaw Procter Brillon |
