Coming from the trading card hobby, i knew as soon as i saw that "unsearched" rolls are scams They add a bait coin to get your hopes up and play with your psychology Unfortunately until ebay does something these scammers will still be out there Comment from : spirit |

I finally got a guy at one of the two big coin companies after calling and talking with him to open up to me He said chances are better for me to get struck by lightning 3 times in a row than finding a coin in any roll (bank or private) that’s worth over 30000 He said coin people are some of the best scammers out there because they know people like myself just getting into the treasure hunt are so easily fooled & are best prey He warned me be careful, don’t buy nothing not graded He said just don’t watch tic toc coins guys, that they want the views, he said he watched a guy vids and in 1 day he added up what he said they sold & the company worked for didn’t auction off in six mo the what that guy said sold in one day He said mint abs coin checkers are AI operated now and chances of a coin getting by the robot are slim to none, only what’s already out there is it so be careful Comment from : Steve Quate |

I know this is an older video, but even 2000-P Sacagawea rolls are starting to be BS since they go for generally 2 1/2 times over face Now I can only buy them when they have packaging that can only come from the mint, or if it’s an older seller who doesn’t have other coins listed! Comment from : Stephen Eads |
Mahalos Mr Tell The Truth Very refreshing Thank you Aloha Larry g Comment from : Larry Gallagher |

The wheat rolls I got from CoinsTV were worth the bullion value ( Goldcoast hoard) brA $200 loss - now, I will never forget that lesson brEven many dates on Apmex rolls were of such low grade they were barely readable Shame on me that time brCustomer 'service' said, "Too bad for me" - Really? And it didn't sound like I was the only phone-call complaining Comment from : Ronald Smith |
All of those rolls are searched before going on ebay are junk These are not worth buying I've seen other sites on YouTube You guys are suckers for buying on eBay Go to your local bank My bank sells me Kennedy rolls Comment from : Daniel DeVite |

So why don't they have grading services that can verify un-opened bank rolls like they do for let's say old wax packs of sports cards? They come with a grade and they can tell if its been tampered with Comment from : Chapter 444 |
Constructive Critizism, long winded on buying bs rolls on ebay Get to the meat, and focus on the positive aspects! You have knowledge, so why spend so much time on the scams and cons? I'm novice, and I want to get to how to max my investments I've been on coin auctions buying GEM mint uncerculated rolls and trying to focus on ms67+'s and get them graded Not sure if I'm on the right track but I'm getting what to watch out for rather than what to look for Thanks Comment from : Fred Sanford |

When buying on search coins so that people won’t get got there should be some type of stipulations are guidelines or something for when people are buying from these people from eBay because that is unfair when you thinking that you’re getting some thing and you’re not false advertisement!! |
I have contacted some coin "dealers" who should know better, they are not It all comes down to making money anyway they can and it is very sad Why should young people be interested in coin collecting when they constantly see liars and those that diminish this wonderful hobby? I have had some reply in a nasty way, I imagine because of guilt, the other few have just ignored me Comment from : Gregory Dillon |
I really can't stand this guy's ignorant demeanor and accent Comment from : Outside Chicago |
Wouldn't the coins on the end have possible machine rolling damage? Comment from : Al Myers |

I'm an older man like yourself, I'm new to collecting coins I saw the unsearched rolls on E-Bay Didn't even think about it The world doesn't work that way, sorry to say It's basically a scam Nothing in life is free, telling me it's unsearched How naive It's the same with, let's say baseball cards One card a PSA10, they want 5k, scroll down a little, same player, same year, same manufacturer, same grade and there asking 15 dollars Makes you wonder about these people Discussing Comment from : Robert Willett |

Spent nearly the whole video ranting against EBay, etc Near the end you gloss over your website - website on how to identify unsearched, how they become, etc brI'm a laymen just getting started Going over your websites information would make a good AND INFORMATIVE video Comment from : Edward OFinnegan |

Very informative on Unsearch rolls Comment from : James Muraoka |
Thanks Daniel Very informative I have thought about buying rolls of wheat pennies but was always a little weary of their ads I did buy a Lincoln cent grouping from The Coin Vault for $100 The set contained many individual sets such as all the uncirculated "82's P and D, copper and zinc, The 1976 collection, the bicentennials, the '68 to 74 S mints uncirculated, 2017 PD&S enhanced uncirculated, 2021 PD&S Proofs, and the 2022 PD&S Proofs On top of that, they added 1lb of uncirculated copper and 2lbs of wheat pennies The majority of the uncirculated copper was 1980, 1974, 1973 with a few 1964's The majority of the wheaties was the "40's and 50's common dates and mints I probably paid too much but it I didn't think I would be able to get all the uncirculated and proof sets separately I was a little disappointed with the bagged coins, but I did find a couple of good wheat pennies BTWI did happen to find a 2014-S Proof Lincoln cent yesterday while going through a box of pennies Comment from : Mit Mann |
Amen I just bought one shame on me!!! Comment from : Brian Pemberton |

You're a gangsta Comment from : supahesh |
If it seems to be good to be true it is dudeI like the video though, no one is going to get clean unsearched rolls off E-bay and they're just getting screwed if they try You're better off picking change out of the tray at 7-11 Just professionals (and not nice ones) passing the buck onto the unsuspecting individuals trying to get involved in the hobby The sad part is most people either don't realize it or they do and they don't want to say anything for fear of being embarrassed Comment from : Brandon K |
I’ve purchased a couple “unsearched” lots off eBay why I don’t know I felt foolish the first time and worse the second time because I knew better All the reasons you just stated I too wish these vultures would go away Comment from : Danny G |
it is unfortunate that you need to point out the obvious Your analogy of lotto tickets is spot on, The greed factor kicks in Ebay of course knows that these "unsearched rolls" are out and out lies, but Ebay doesn't care because it is a source of income to their bottom line Comment from : G S |
Great video, the worst example I saw was an estate with a crimped half dollar roll with a Bu S mint Franklin ended at each end and 18 worn out coins in between Comment from : Steven Waldman |
This video was informative, but I have seen dealers selling unsearched rolls using older worn wrappers Do these bank names still exist or filled with common dates??? Comment from : David DITUCCI |
Rolls with end coins that have a CC or whatever are probably fake? You betcha Comment from : Doug Smith |
