Very troublesome that the country doesnt accept visa/mastercard Even when Alipay had started accepting foreign cards years before, registering with it is a problem The app has a problem recognising faces and it is required to register your face not sure why for a big company the app has a lousy unsteady operating system After I got the app set up with a foreign card and tried to pay for my hotel, I was told the hotel does not accept foreign cards even when its paid through Alipay so it is useless cause local merchants still wont accept your foreign card even if its linked with alipay or wechat Comment from : Audrey Tan |

Singapore as a small country should take steps to prevent loss of individual money to scam especially using digital currency Perhaps we can use some of the traditional security like the trusted "serial number" on old printed notes This can be elevated to encrypted "serial number" for each digital denomination and if stolen or lost can be rendered void by issuing a new "encrypted" serial number for the specific individual digital denomination This should be workable if the ASEAN country decides to adopt enhanced security measures for digital currency usage Comment from : Mikey Mikey |

Ok, I went to China in May and I was able to link my foreign credit card to WeChat Pay BUT here is the caveat, I was able to use WeChat pay only if the vendor scanned my QR Code, but I wasn’t able to pay if I had to scan their QR Code Every time I scanned their code, a message pops out on WeChat saying I have to verify myself and link my WeChat account to a Chinese bank account!
