So my DirecTV satellite bill base price without any discounts is $230 a month 50 of that is on equipment alone that they charge me monthly for that's 8 years old I was going to switch to DirecTV stream until I realized that I would end up paying roughly the same amount that I'm paying now The only benefit would be that my service does not go out when it rains with DirecTV stream versus satellite now Comment from : C M |

One tactic to try is to call and spend a couple of hours on the phone and tell them you are canceling the service and see what deals they may give you I downgraded my ultimate DTV satellite to just get HBO Max and regional sports They also gave me a total of 40/month credits to cover the cost of the boxes and threw in NFL Red Zone (which I don’t watch) Got a better deal for the next year Saved me from doing DTV Stream For now Comment from : MEHMD1 |

Man, finally after all these years there is an official Google TV app that works with the Shield And now this will probably be the last price hike for me so I won't be able to take advantage of the app Inflation, I'll give them that one because everyone seems to get away with that excuse, but it's not like there are a 100 different media companies that represent each station I thought one media company may own say 20 stations and those contracts run for years, they don't renew annually That's on top of the end user being respondible for the pipeline to watch their content so that's less maintenance for them To say the price increase every year on the Go Big plan had to be exactly $10 is just playing us for fools There app is glitchy On Android smartphones it doesn't bubble out like Netflix, Sling and YouTube You have to do a splitscreen which is buggy in itself It was nice having all of those stations, but with their contracted developers, oveseas support, and buggy software, they don't get the same forgiveness from me when it comes to raising prices Mr Saves is probably rightlots of cancellations this time aroundbrbrEDIT: Adding, It's insulting to pay as much as we do and that we have to use another service for NFL Network/RedZone because even with all these yearly price increases, DTV Stream can't bring back a channel they were too cheap to pay for I subcribed to SlingTV for NFL RedZone the past 3 months and received their November notice that the price for Sling Orange + Blue is going up $5 I know Sling doesn't offer local and regional sports, but only a $5 increase is easier to swallow Comment from : Bobby Lips |

I’ve only been a DIRECTV Stream customer for a few months I’ve yet to use it because I can’t figure it out Might as well try a different service given I’m not using it, just paying for it I use a Roku but have a Fire Stick and an AppleTV box stored away somewhere brbrAny suggestions on a good cost efficient plan?
