I'm sure some of these graders also give a lower grade because they don't want to be the guy that adds a coin to a low population of higher grades Comment from : Leo N Idas I |

I love how you always swing for the fences “Hope springs eternal in the human breast: Man never is, but always to be blest” Comment from : Michael M |
I'm probably wrong, but I'd guess they go harder on giving S and CC those coveted PL grades because mid- to high-60's in those mints will have numerous examples of fields that could flirt with a PL grade if they were seen on an O or P I've only seen two CC's in person that aren't at least "Semi-PL" in their fields, so I either have a nice sample I've seen, or CC produces high quality coins that are hard to classify as one that the mint intended to be prooflike (I hope that made some sense) Comment from : Dr Thomas Rasberry |

Hey TheCoinGeek: I've had your grading videos playlist on auto-play for a while, so I wanted to stop and comment on one I like the idea of grading the details! Unfortunately, it looks like the Grey Sheet has gone in a different direction What's up with the price differences between CAC and non-CAC? Wow! Comment from : Silver Nitrate |
I can't believe you have a 1889 cc, I love it Great job with this video Thanks 😃😎 Comment from : Conrad Pons |
It doesn't make much sense to take NGC graded coins and switch to PCGS To me PCGS has questionable grading Also NGC has a more attractive and stronger holder I will never use PCGS for myself! Comment from : Ron Schneider |
TheCoinGeek i am sure you already know this but NGC and PCGS both grade a lot harder on semi and key date Morgans I know from experience they seem to always low ball semi key dates and key dates at least by 1 grade point Which can make a price difference of hundreds to even several thousand dollars Personally i dont think its fair but i dont know of anything that can be done about it Comment from : Mike Smith |
wo the same Comment from : richard c |

1838 Bust Half Dollar 1st Attempt NGC AU Details Cleaned Now to ANACS, AU 55 Details Cleaned Corroded Back to NGC with some other nice coins Comes back MS 61! Comment from : Barbs Best |

It's a tough call on the 1889 cc It is cleaned but from EF to AU DETAILS is a big difference The 1885 o I dont see any cleaning on the obverse but, I noticed spots in the upper fields from something? Comment from : Numismatic Stacker |
Can you do a video on what a cleaned Morgan is worth compared to a non cleaned Morgan coin? I have an 1883CC Uncirculated but cleaned per PCGS and I'm trying to figure out a value for it Comment from : SOLDIER 76 |
At some point if they haven't already they'll use a shared database and AI to track the coins irregardless of a holder to maintain consistency Comment from : Mike Pict |
I have understood that if you submit a graded coin in for regradiing it's supposed to get the same grade or better than what it's graded at Is this correct information? Comment from : Conrad Pons |
👀👍👍👍 Comment from : SILVER COINS & Дмитрий Васильев |

Interesting the 89 cc is decent i personally would have labeled it xf 45 and called it a day there is so many ms61 coins out there with hairlines that if graded the same way the 89 cc they all be detail coins Comment from : Fishers Fritz |
Cleaned or notI love those Morgans! Comment from : SpegTacular |
: / so much time, effort and money spent to have even more money denied through conspiracy grading 👎 Comment from : J W |
1885-S DEFINITELY cleaned 1889-CC definitely XF NGC was correct on those Comment from : Chris |
What are they smoking at PCGS? The '89 CC Morgan at AU cleaned -- pulease! How are they so sure it was cleaned at all? I mean, can they say that for sure? I seriously doubt it The obverse fields look clear but the hair details over the ears are gone and on the reverse, DUDE, c'mon! The breast feather are gone! AU really! Remember what "Fine" used to mean? This coin is light years away from AU and I wouldn't even know how to rate it I'd give the obverse a VF-EF, and the reverse gets a VG-F AU should means you need a magnifier to tell it is not UNC Comment from : Al Anton |

how do you go about getting coins graded? Comment from : Dave Fried |
Why would anyone be surprised that a coin over a hundred years old hasn't been cleaned at some point? I'm 65 years old and recall watching my Grandfather cleaning his Morgan's and Peace dollars in a 5 gallon galvanized tubIt was a common practice in the early sixties It wasn't until the grading services came along and grew in stature that people started waking up to how this practice was undesirable I totally agree there should be a scale for cleaned coins as many of those that I inherited have toned quite nicely Thanks for the video !
