In the state of Florida they are working to raise hourly rate to $23 so money no longer can be the issue even tho is salary currently $20 as we speak go for it guys just be organized with everything you do I am starting next month state of FL

As a misdemeanor PO during Covid-19 pandemic I had 375 clients to supervise on monthly basis Currently I have 220 clients to supervise on monthly basis Some of these guys are also on State and Federal probation I have been working as a PO for almost 4 years now It is a very stressful job, but you can't let it get to you You help the ones that truly want and need help, the rest three strikes and they are out We have to get them into treatments as ordered by the court, apply for grants if they don't have health insurance, and give them employment local resources available within out area And have court days at least once per week, where we sign up new clients when they bring them up from the jail after they have plead It is an interesting job, 8 hours go by so fast brWe are at the bottom of the food chain of the Criminal Justice System, we don't get paid what we should, but if you have other legal side gig job it will make up for the income The benefits are great, such as State pension, health insurance, etc That is one reason, why I am still here I also facilitate/teach DUI School and BIPS (Barters Intervention Program) for violent male offenders I like the fact, that I don't have to carry a gun, even though on a few scenarios, I wish I did have one I got lucky and our local PD responds very quickly when we call or text thembrOne disadvantage as a PO that I would state is that you have no social life Especially if you live in a small town

I don't have a degree but thinking about getting a AA in Criminal Justice or similar I feel like a PO is basically the entry level of a cop in a sense lol What's the difference between probation officer and corrections? I worked 2 min wage jobs and made $42K lol If you move to California, I think you would stay being a PO cause you would make $62K-75K Have you worked a 12-16 hours shift before?

I really enjoyed this video!! I am a criminal justice student and I graduate this December actually with a BS in Criminal Justice How much did you get paid hourly? If you don't mind me asking I am trying to see what you think is low with that status Also, do you have a degree?
