I was really surprised about the discussion around not buying or selling with other customers I'm new to coin collecting, I'm more familiar coming from a collectible card game shop, where it ends up being a gathering place for like-minded enthusiasts, and while you often buy/sell with the shop owner its also extremely common to discuss your collection and buy/sell/trade with others in the shop I definitely get not trying to undercut the shop owner but the vibe in the video of "you are here to buy from me not the other customers, break that rule and you aren't welcome here" honestly turned me off from wanting to go into this shop

I frequented my LCS a few times when I first started stacking, and always purchased with cash - my purchases ranged from about $1000-$4000 each visit On two separate occasions, the dealer asked what I did for a living It didn't raise any suspicion until he asked the second time, and I replied 'you already asked me that' He went on to say that he guessed I was a gigolo drug dealer!! There was a mother and her young child waiting in line behind me, and I was appalled Needless to say I have never returned I know that Harry does not need a lesson in customer service, but he could certainly teach that clown a thing or two

Well one can ask if there is something for sale behind the counter And the shop owner can simply have a sign clearly saying this brbrI would also NEVR try to rush a dealer who may be a little short-staffed and is reviewing a large collection brought in One can simply get their attention and say I see you are very busy, should I come back later or another day?

Gentlemen at it's finest! I never asked for a discount at my bullion dealer and wanted some rounds but was sold out so got Britannia's for the same price as rounds since I was a good customer That's how I like to do business

My LCS in Fishers Indiana is great! I brought my son in to teach him about silver and to buy his first coin The staff paid a lot of attention to him, answered all his questions and signed him up for the kids monthly coin club They also gave him a mercury dime as a gift for joining the kids club So grateful for guys like the staff at my LCS & Harry’s to mentor people

Your grandmother and mother were correct when they told us a simple Rule THE GOLDEN RULE - treat others as you would like to be treated brbrGreat thing about owning the business if someone is rude or ask inappropriate questions you don’t have to do business with them! I have a great relationship with my LCS The owner is a 10-year former SEAL, I'm ex-three letter and DoD in various capacities We get along fantastically He threw my ENTIRE stack - NOT a small amount - in his safes while I had sold my old home and was waiting to close on a new one (escrow wasn't in the buyer's cards) at no charge 3-months So, I bought him some rounds with militaria, tridents etc & sent him business In return, whenever he gets an Engelhard, A-Type etc - he holds it for me and sells it to me at cost It's win, win He's a friend now; what's being said in this video (ime) is legit FWIW, I'm trying to convince him he needs to create a channel "Stacking the SEAL Way" with bullion, SHTF and 2A He's not a fan of YT, lol

Harry and company are about the nicest individuals you could ever meet and certainly top notch business folks It's hard to go in there and imagine anyone giving them a hard time, i know i don't One of the reasons they became my LCS is that when i was learning and watching your videos here Silver Dragons he was the one who took some time with me to explain some things when i first went into his shop, he didn't just try to sell me something right off the bat It's been some years now and i am very happy with my choice to keep going back I have been to a bunch in the area and they all have good stuff but Harry's is my goto LCS
