Having read a few comments on here it appears your choice of ball might be decided by your swing speed as much as your striking ability Yet I’ve never seen a ball advertised for the golfer who hits over 90mph or what ever the figure is They all mention distance or feel or soft or hard but never speed requirements off the face brDoes this matter with a ball or not, be they a “distance “ or “ feel” ball ? brOf course I checked Amazon and as others have said they are up at £21 there about per dozen which does put them in competition with others so the question that needs answered is are they still worth it or is the competition at that price a better choice ?TaylorMade RBZ Soft Golf Balls (2022) are currently on sale at £17:49 ( roughly $21:22) are they equally worth it based on that price brI’d be very interested to see a video comparing the balls from the top five manufacturers that Amazon sells brTitleist Srixon, Callaway, Taylormade, and Bridgestone ( based on tour percentages ) in the price range brbrOn a side note my son who has a decent swing ( according to his coach who GM says is in the top fifty in Uk ) but has hardly played any golf on an actual course was advised to use Titleist AVX and he doesn’t even have an official handicap yet !

Have a cheap entry level ball that is good is a really important thing for the game For people to really learn to be consistent and know what clubs do what it is a big help to use the same ball every time and be able to aford to lose them brI know myself I would always use lake and found balls when I was younger, but as got older and could aford to buying new reasonable mid range balls my consitancey went up considerably

Good one Rick My suspicion is that for someone with a swing speed of 80 to 90 that softer ball may go further than a ball that is more firm We must remember that the soft balls are meant to be for golfers with a swing speed of under 95
