This whole thing should've started with "Texting is pretty much bullshit Don't worry about it" The idea that there is a whole psychology around how to correctly text someone seems ridiculous to me If you want to connect with a guy, wait for the next date, or pick up the phone and actually talk/video Connection through text is meaningless He could write "Really looking forward to seeing you next! 😍😍😍😍" while taking a dump and swiping through Tinder, and you'd interpret that as genuine excitement How many times have you sent a laughing emoji without even slightly smiling in real life? Text is an empty of trustworthy truths and should play no part in building or maintaining a real connection with someone

I think this is also such a unique and unfamiliar territory for women because, especially the day after maybe the first time being intimate, or if it’s the first time talking in a while and you’re wondering kind of where you stand and if the nature of the relationship will go back or stay what it was or of course scared that they’ll just think of you as someone to use And I think we don’t allow men to be human as well I’m sure men wonder does she like me as much as I like her, is she just acting she prolly has other dudes, should I text or is that seeming like I’m too obsessed And I think we hold onto that first text so tightly that it has to be them validating us that we don’t even consider maybe he needs a little bit of validation as well in order to feel safe to take more steps forward I was hesitant but I did text him first and it definitely went more pleasant than not so thank you for these ideas! Especially the idea that being the best dopest version of yourself doesn’t mean you’re desperate it just shows that you’re hella positive and you’re giving your best energy and you’ll pull back if they don’t like it period and find someone who does
