Question: I'm looking at an ITM option with strike price of $20 selling for $1200 The current price of the stock is $3200 If I sell this call, could the buyer of the option exercise his option immediately or does he have to wait until the date of expiration? What is his motivation for buying an option for $1200 on a stock worth $32? Isn't this a quick way to make $1200 if I don't want the stock? Comment from : Ed Cortes |

I have looked all over the net and cannot find an answer to the following (hoping somebody can help):brI do repeated ITM Buy/Writes When these work out, the stock is sold for a loss, the option is assigned so (I believe) the assignment means for me its value is zero at assignment If I do this every week, technically the stock loss is a wash sale Is it treated that way for IRS filing/calculations or does the offsetting gain in the net position negate the need to classify this as a "wash sale" loss?brThanks Comment from : Dann Shapiro |

Dave, I trade the standard writing CC's(weekly) but keep looking at your approach to the ITM CC's and I like it Do you feel the weekly would be workable for the ITM or further out?
