Hello maybe you can help me since nobody at Verizon can give me a definite answer or all give me different answers If I were to purchase one of these Verizon prepaid data plans could I use it with say a net gear router I buy on Amazon? Or do I have to purchase one of the Verizon hotspot/jet packs to use these plans? I would much rather use a router than a hotspot Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Fantastic information! All your videos are soo helpful Question…is there a way to “test” in a given area to see what network is available (ie Verizon or AT&T) before activating prepaid data on a sim for that area? For example, if visiting a rural area that may only have coverage from one network for a shorter period of time (say 2-3 weeks) Trying to not pay for prepaid data when it’s not even available Thanks!

How do I make a prepaid payment!?

I have the prepaid Verizon 7730L mifi jetpack that I pay $80 a month for unlimited data I've had it for 3 years now My main complaint is the speed is throttled after I use 15 GB down to 600kbps Why am I not getting this discount?
Comment from : Ravishing Hunk

Chrome
I am in a 4g LTE only area with the verizon mifi i got the 1505g plan but i dont use 5g when i hit my cap at 150 my speeds will be throttled?
Comment from : Chrome

So i will say thank you for the insight Just started vanlife and was trying to figure out the best option for me I first went with Verizon I got the 150 gb post paid plan With taxes it will cost you $110 a month since i don’t currently have service with them I took it back because that was just too expensive compared to T-Mobile For t-mobile i could get 200 gb for $100 after taxes Coverage area is a concern so I’ll probably go with a secondary company that uses Verizon towers at a discounted rate
Comment from : Tony Smith

Anthony Barnes
5gb for $40 what a bargain lol They need to remove that plan
Comment from : Anthony Barnes

Mike Surani
The Verizon rep was being a bitch Thank you so much cherry in the mobile Internet resource center for this information I had a Sim card sitting at home and I was able to activate this plan sitting at home on my couch without any help of any reps from the Verizon store It would be so much better and Verizon could get so much more business if their representative starts treating their customers in the way they should be treated
Comment from : Mike Surani

Tom Thatcher
How do I get this plan for hotspot
Comment from : Tom Thatcher

Jeff Smith
Verizon towers are terrible!!! I call them they say there is no problem with the towers But there is in Upstate South Carolina!
Comment from : Jeff Smith

Jesse Sasaki
T mobile has unlimited for $50 It's T-mobile home internet 5G I can watch 4k videos on it
Comment from : Jesse Sasaki

Patrick Ross
The main problem with prepaid is that you’re on the “second tier” priority My experience is that I’m often throttled down and there is no coverage in sparsely settled areas when there should be coveragebrbrI have to be on prepaid because that is the only way to remain anonymous, ie: not using one’s real name
Comment from : Patrick Ross

Harvest-Min
Why would someone need that much?
Comment from : Harvest-Min

Neumeyer
Why can’t they just come out with unlimited
Comment from : Neumeyer

Ross Malagarie
Thanks so much for this info I have Straight Talk with their Verizon version of a LG Stylo 4, (and I have a Moto G Stylus Verizon version from Straight Talk that should be in today) and their biggest plan is $65 a month but it only offers 20gbs of data for a hotspot through my cell The problem was I was without home internet for about 40 days after Hurricane Ida, (direct hit here in Houma, LA) so I only had my cellphone to use its hotspot to get internet on my laptop connected to my living room tv The major problem was I went through 20gbs in about 2 weeks so I had to refill my $65 monthly plan 3 times in that 40 days so yeah if I would have know about this It would have saved a ton of money
Comment from : Ross Malagarie

baron perez
Do you have any recommendations on the best routers to get for this plan?
Comment from : baron perez

baron perez

I have the hotspot unlimited plan that Verizon ended but I’m grandfathered into it It runs out of data regularly ( unlimited?) but I don’t know at what amount of data this happens, after that it is unusable I’m thinking of switching to this 150 gig plan, would that be a good replacement?
Comment from : hrekaj

100 is enough data for one month A&T and cricket wireless have 100gb for $5000 and that is a good deal

But 150G ain't much data!brTo add on to "UNLIMITED"?
Comment from : Robert Brooks

sc1212able
Great presentation, so if I understand right, we get 150 GB for $70/mo with no hidden fees and this plan is available as a prepaid using a Verizon hot spot I'm using Cricket as my home internet and using a Moxee hot spot and paying $50/mo for 100 GBAnd honestly I never even come close to reaching 100 GB in one month
Comment from : sc1212able

Singh L
Verizon should pay you to train their reps so they know in detail what’s going with their plans Some of them have no idea when you call Verizon
Comment from : Singh L

Jeff Warren
Is my grandfathered 65/month unlimited better or worse than these? Seems like there is network management on all the prepaids Is the “management” the same level as my existing acct?
Comment from : Jeff Warren

Sammy US
It's all business model money circle Ive used VZ for 6 months than when my Verizon started to catch a bad signal and reduced speed and throttling began I choose to switch to ATT And ATT was working perfect for chipper price, after few months same story happened to my ATT I closed all my accounts and switch to Google FI Few months of using and story repeat again Than T-Mobile Again again When a lot of customer canceled their service VZ and ATT decided to change the plan and to change the price I am tired to switch between all those scambags I just need good reliable data speed without interactions But it's never gonna happen Cannot believe that we are living close to Silicon Valley and have so many issues with internet
Comment from : Sammy US

Reggie Jewett
Verizon is always late to the party They are not a leader in Pricing They are a follower br brAre You a Marketing Leader or Laggard? brVerizon won't do rollover data and doesn't care if you leave for T-Mobile
Comment from : Reggie Jewett

Dezary Drak

Comment from : Rick S

youllfloat2 pennywise
data only? does that mean I can't access the internet? I was led to believe DATA only plans don't let you access the internet Is that right?
Comment from : youllfloat2 pennywise

oakfig
Can you give us a link to the approved router list?
Comment from : oakfig

seansdadpit
I'm on chat with Verizon right now and they say ther is no such plan
Comment from : seansdadpit

Steve B
How do they limit video quality it could be streamed from different providers Netflix YouTube etc I think that video quality depends on the streaming service not the carrier, as long as the speed is adequate you can stream at the quality of your choice
Comment from : Steve B

Scott Versaw
Thanks for your timely, accurate, and complete info on very complicated products I know it takes a lot of time to keep up with this stuff!

Do any providers or 3rd partidx offer a pay as you go option? For example a 100GB SIM card that I can use until it is gone, whether that is 2 weeks or 2 months Once used up I can buy another SIM card or simple add more bandwidth

Comment from : aka Claus

Greg Speck
Thank you very informative
Comment from : Greg Speck

Cody Winter
How do you feel about the AT&T $55 100gb plan? Do you know if their Inseego Mifi 8000 is able to be (or is) unlocked and used with other networks? Since its basically the same thing as Verizons Mifi 8800L but supports all the same bands and way more, according to your website brbrIdk what one it is but Verizon when I look has a $60 100gb plan and I need to get one of those options this week
Comment from : Cody Winter

TJNAK
Thanks

TeaLobster
Any idea why my ping shoots all over the place on my postpaid Verizon hotspot plan? I've used both AT&T as well as T-mobile in the past, and even though coverage was obviously different, my ping was stable
Comment from : TeaLobster

popdaddyg
Good to know, I tried Verizon PPD recently and they got things totally screwed up Entered my email address wrong, didn’t provide me a pin# After a week and no confirmation, I canceled after writing a letter to the CEO (Short version) Will try T-Mobile next time
Comment from : popdaddyg
