Having only tried JW Blue once, I can honestly say it is phenomenal Smokey but smooth JW Double Black is less expensive but also delicious! Brought a bottle of JW Double Black to my Irish friends when I visited in 2016 Needless to say, it went over extremely well 😁😁🖤🖤

Red Label is smokey on the first taste but sadly, to me, that lovely Islay Peat smokey taste disappear after a few sips Tasted more expensive Black Label but luckily don't get the peat smokey taste so I stayed at Red Label as my "bread and butter" whiskey Looking forward to your review of the more expensive onesbrbrI guess, to get that permanent peat taste you have to invest in some of those expensive Islay Whiskeys (lagavulin et al) and I've tried a few, but to be honest, licking the bottom of a newly tarred fisherboat, which is my experience with these, can quickly be too overwhelming On the other hand tried the "Islay Mist", a blend of Islay whiskeys and that really hit the perfect spot, but it was a short lived special offer in REMA in Denmark, at one point, and I haven't found them since Anyone of you whiskey experts got an advice of affordable whiskey with these properties would be really welcomed?!!!
