Try it If you like a black label with more complexity, this is it The finish is short, but it is 40 abv - and besides that it's clearly the best of the core range Not powerful like a malt, but more complexity than most single malts which typically are well: single minded Comment from : Kim Poulsen |

I have been thinking about buying a bottle of this one, since i have been wanting to try and taste this one for a long long time now, but if im going to get my hands on a bottle of this i will have to pay a 199 $ or 199 £ for 700 ml, so any of you who have tried it or not, is it worth its money? Comment from : Gustav Jansson |

You my friend have knocked it out of the park Comment from : Fabian Bustos |

If I owned JW company, I would make a very similar whiskey to this and market it exactly as they do Huge success It's a whiskey for everyone that no one can dislike, just not priced for everyone I would not buy a bottle however for myself as I have very specific tates and this caters to none of them, but certainly as a gift for someone Comment from : Leo Black |
Don’t buy it for your boss Comment from : Aldo Jasso |
for that money i could get 2 bottles of Laphroaig 10 Cask Strength or 7 bottles of Monkey Shoulder if i'm wanting a good blended whisky for mixers Blue Label is like Blantons pretty shelf art Comment from : bevoburn |

Blue label would be a top shelf dram if it was bottled at 48 As it is at 40 it’s just the butt end of a joke Comment from : cato |

I seen another review where if you are going to purchase this particular bottle it would be in your best interest to find a pre 2012 bottling Comment from : That hustle n grind life |
Absolutely right ! I can’t stand the taste of whisky/bourbon/vodka in general, whatever body nose flavour , it’s just too strong of a drink for mebrIt’s like getting punched in the facebrbrBUT blue label were actually drinkable to me , it’s so mellow and delicate I’m starting to like whisky because of it Comment from : Ivy Lim |
This isn’t marketed for any of you poor fucks period JW doesn’t care It’s like Mercedes Benz , Porsche, and Ferrari They don’t hand you coupons to cheapen their product Either you have the means to buy their products and not worry about putting meat on the table or you can get shit faced on any other bottle My favorite JW blend is the 15 year Green label I find the most value out of that I agree with your blue ratings as a general whisky comparison Taste is always subjective and with the more money a person has, their preferences will be higher Women are the worst…you will ever hardly see a wealthy fine dressed women without a designer handbag! I can attest because my wife has more handbags than the days in a month I have tasted a lot of cheap alcoholic drinks when I was younger, so by no means that I am a snob I do like value and I like different expressions from many distillers regardless of price of bottles Everything is worth giving it a try because life is too short seeing how even the new pandemic has complicated things these days I very much like glenlivet 18yr The dalmore is pretty damn good, almost all their bottles Bunnabhabhain is damn fine too! Damnit, I forgot about the glenfiddich too! Oh wait…there’s a bunch more! Just drink them all! God bless and have a wonderful drink mates! Comment from : Cuban CigarMan |

This review is epic 🔥 Comment from : A thinking man |

Johnnie Walker blue is a very good whisky I've spent way more money on whisky that wasn't half as good and spend way less on whisky that was better at the end of the day it's your taste buds and what you like a personal favorite of mine if you like scotch and want to try something new is springbank 15 worth every penny I spend on it if I do say Comment from : TennesseeHeathen |

What goes down as smooth and tastes similar to jw blue? List 4 or 5 if you will thanks brLove the review 😎 Comment from : Elvis Reviews |
Absolutely not worth the money You're paying for glamorous marketing not the spirit It's bottled at low ABV, it's coloured, it's chill filtered it has no age statement You can buy some incredible whiskies for 20 of the price! For example you could buy a Deanston 12yo, a Clynelish 14yo, a Ballechin 10 yo AND an incredible Springbank 12 cask strength and still have change left over from a bottle of Blue Label Comment from : Pete Welsh |
Well done diggerhave it its unremarkable Comment from : Tom ODonnell |
Good review I have tried this a while back and was very unimpressed Cutty Sark Prohibition at 50 abv is much tastier and also much better value Comment from : Drambler |

I received it as a Christmas gift along with a JW Platinum brbrIt was so smooth it missed being even subtle There weren’t many layers; something along to a thin veneer of cocobolo over plywood There was no finish It came to a quick halt I’m glad it was a gift It spared me the expenditure of a self-financed test drive Comment from : Cliff Ermatinger |
Sounds like it is a good whiskey, but just not worth the pricebrbrI do want to try it if I can get it for even cheaper though Comment from : mbckPLAYS |
I'm glad I only tried the 200ml blue labelbrJust a step up from double black in my opinion, my JW 18 gold label taste better than the current blue labelbrSome say JW blue label from 10-15 years ago and today's product are nothing alike, 2020's products are shadows of their own history Comment from : ZOA2533 |
does all blue has same taste regardless of what special edition they released like the ghost, year of the rat etc? Comment from : ajoemar2009 |
I bought it to sale it by the shotbrI really think Blue Label is meant for people who don’t know better, or for bar owners who want to sale it Comment from : Funk Daddy |
I know that everything you’ve said is true, but, dammit, I love Blue Label anyway brbrIt counts as mid price by the standards of my collection and, sure, I’ve spent the same money on much better; hell I’ve spent bless/b on much better; but I keep replacing the Blue Label whenever it runs out because I just love it anywaybrbrDoes that make me a lost cause in the malt world? Comment from : Pogglefish II |
What would you recommend for someone who doesn't mind Johnnie Walker black label but generally dislikes Scotch, prefers the kind of caramel flavour that you'd associate with Bourbon, and prefers the drink to be sweeter? For a reasonable price Comment from : DGneoseeker1 |
After having tried the (basically normal Blue Label @43 avb) King George V I resume that the only Blue Label might be worth getting if one still insists on getting one would be a sub 300/320 €/$ The Casks Edition 1 liter @558 abv At least it's got enough oomph, you can play with water and considering abv at 1 liter you effectively get almost two normal bottles of Blue Label for the price :-) Comment from : Hogibaer |
As a lover of JW black, I’d be curious to try the blue But heck would I pay that price Comment from : Amen Heavy |
Wow! Great job man I was searching for truth and I found it 👍 You saved my money Comment from : narendra shinde |

True story Shouldn't cost more than the green label, given what it is For 200$ you get 40 of "smooth"? Yeah, if I wanted that, I'd buy a Hennessy or Courvoisier XO Comment from : Peugeot GoTWiC |
