Kevin Keehn
I worked there a couple of years ago What can I say? They are scum
Comment from : Kevin Keehn

1yretsym
I agree: they are slow, not accurate and very difficult to deal with

David Vandebrake
I enjoy anacs anyway There a fantastic company that's been around for a long time Only reason there not a top tier is because they haven't kept track of all the coins they have graded But they grade very well and fairly
Comment from : David Vandebrake

Brandon Blakney
It's unfortunate that you've had these issues with PCGS and their customer service They are certainly not without flaw, but they are nonetheless the industry standard Regarding your coin concerns, PCGS most certainly made the right call(s) The coins they deemed cleaned, were without a doubt, cleaned Unfortunately, although a very nice coin, the '87 did not deserve a FS designation PCGS uses 5x to 10x magnification power (and sometimes more if need be) when grading, so they do on occasion detect concerns not originally acknowledged by the submitter In your case, particularly with the cleaned Morgan's, you can tell by the naked eye that they are obviously and noticeably cleaned - and this is seen through a camera via a YouTube video Prior to sending any more coins in through any grading service, I would suggest a bit more time going over coins you are going to submit and learning signs of cleaned and damaged coins It takes time to become proficient with this, but it will come I genuinely believe that your dissatisfaction with the grading lies with you still being at a lower learning stage as opposed to any error on their end The way they treat you and their customer service on the other hand, is not right However, as you've mentioned many times, you are just hugely angry with them, which I get regarding the customer service aspect and the amount of time it took to grade; however, a cleaned and damaged coin, is a cleaned and damaged coin period Graders are impartial and have zero feeling or emotion attached to any coin Many of these coins should have never been submitted Keep learning and hopefully you have better luck going forward Enjoy the hobby, cheers!

Com' on, you don't like waiting on hold for two hours plus??? 😂

Mark Jackson
NGC has always been a tick harsher on Morgan's but they are half the time in grading turn around CAC hasn't disappointed me on just my one order thus far PCGS took my $275 a year for years but when they lost a 16 coin order and blew me off they lost my business too Stephanie Sabin hasn't done anything to improve the customer experience I feel ya
Comment from : Mark Jackson

whateverman!
I use ICG Fifteen dollars per modern coin And if you live next to them like I do I just take it up there and drop it off No delivery They take them right there at the place And they have good grading My first grades were all 67 and 66
Comment from : whateverman!

Jeremy Carter
Besides the price being cheap why wouldn’t you submit to NGC instead of ANACS?
Comment from : Jeremy Carter

PCSG ms62 is less than it's worth the cost You get what you pay for

Dude in all your vids all you do is complain about pcgs i feel your pain i really do but I'm sorry you complain way to much i bet they know you by now I'm sure some newb has seen your channel and let the upper people know all you do is complain this isn't a hater comment i under stand but just think of you were grading coins and some guy called every time complaining about the grades wouldn't you get irritated and just spend more time looking at his coins and i call it Grade with a grudge sometime we think our coins look way better than they do because they are ours Just saying I like your channel just found it and have noticed every vid you complain like i said i don't blame you but maybe if you want someone to do something for you don't complain about them all the time use the other graders but as you know pcgs is the most trustworthy so I'm sorry I'm not a hater just stating the obvious

Comment from : J Wilcox

Tylonn Platinum 3rd Coins
This was tough to watch damn First of all I 100 percent guarantee Anacs will call those last 2 Morgan’s cleaned The lines dance in all different directions which indicates cleaning not polishing lines I seen lines on the devices as well Send in crappy coins get crappy grades brSecond that nickel looks too mushy on the left side for full steps and certainly doesn’t have 6 full steps to qualify for Pcgs brOh and don’t waste your money getting images from Anacs they are complete trash They literally look like someone sat it on a desk and took a photo of the entire slab and coin with a IPhone 8
Comment from : Tylonn Platinum 3rd Coins

stan batton
Why do blame PCGS for you buying cleaned coins Anacs is a trash company that’s why you get them back so soon they don’t look over the coins
Comment from : stan batton

matthew gilmore
my local coin dealer had 2 coins i was interested in and was PCGS graded, after looking over they are super super nice but graded low there for he was asking graded price we both agreed they were graded low SO i offered him $200 over grade price, we agreed i still feel bad he runs a buisness and took a $400 lose becus of PCGS im taking them out of the holders big difference in 65 what should be 67plus
Comment from : matthew gilmore

matthew gilmore
i completly agree with you ! they dont know how to grade anymore, they down grade the very best of coins !!
Comment from : matthew gilmore

Stan Hartman
You have to mark down a variety, and pay extra
Comment from : Stan Hartman

Numismatic Stacker
1897s yes that's cleaning not die polish lines Congrats on your video but you should use this as a learning experience and not a rant I send coins all the time and they grade straight It's rare I get questionable color There are numismatic books that can help you I know your trying hard here and I'm here to help if you want it thx
Comment from : Numismatic Stacker

Andrew Richardson
Maybe it’s the way you see your coins? Not many ANACS graded coins are taken seriously…
Comment from : Andrew Richardson

tom grossmith
PCGS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST you have to win the lottery in order to get someone on the phone They took six months to grade my coins They didn't send my shirt and loop with my platnum membership After filling out the form with one of their service staff, they e-mailed me stating there was two issues with the form It took two days of waiting on there phone que to finally recieve a call back The other two attempts after took several days of trying to call in within the first hour of them opening just to never recieve a call You can't e-mail them Never have I seen such horrific service, especially after purchasing their highest tear membership costing hundreds of dollars They will not last long like this, they think they are the BEST OF THE BEST and can get away with anything Worst company I have ever dealt with, nothing but snobs
Comment from : tom grossmith

Eric Bynog
Hey I am not big fan pcgs but you must know anacs graded coins will cause you to lose money and those coins will not bring same money as pcgs or ngc and next thing you found out is only the major varieties increase value most Morgan dollars have some type van or die crack strike thru but it does not increase value unless big variety good luck with pcgs maybe try ngc you buy some nice coin I would try ngc before anacs or see if you can send into CAC grading but you think pcgs tight man o man CAC is worst good luck
Comment from : Eric Bynog

Richard Attemborg
I have seen many mistakes made by all the graders But it may take grading to sell you special coin
Comment from : Richard Attemborg

Jeremy Gray
Do people value anacs coins the same yet Seems like they didn't before
Comment from : Jeremy Gray

James Kerry
I assume you paid the extra fee for the (variety attribution)? And they still did not list it? In my opinion, the biggest challenge I have w/ the TPG'sis the inconsistency and the inability (for coins I've submitted to them) to follow through with their definitions of PL, and their inability to consistently apply the grades: I've seen so many w/MS 63's and 4's on web sites for saleyet I compare them to the MS 62's given to my coinsand I want to cry How many times do we see, (ugly, dull and grey) Morgans in 63 and 64 holders - and I'm sitting there w/ 62 and a mirror (to 24 inches) and no PL and the much lower grade Ultimately, I'm hoping that the GRADING ISSUE, eventually goes to a NON-PROFIT, DIGITAL GRADING SYSTEM And these (for profits) are out of the picture
Comment from : James Kerry

R Addy
It's the same or worst with NGC
Comment from : R Addy

Nikola Potapoff
PCGS are liers brInsufficient and bazar service
Comment from : Nikola Potapoff

MegaSilverStacker
Sorry you've had such bad luck with them I've always been taken care of by both NGC and Anacs Good luck in your future submissions🤙 Dig your content🤘
Comment from : MegaSilverStacker

James Carter
You are not the only one getting screwed by PCGS I sent in 5 conditional rarities and they didn't give one stamp designation ( Full steps/ Full bands, etc) Sent 2 in on new order without the error designation They got the stamp designation but they lowered the grades!!! Gonna call today to complain How can a Jefferson nickel go from Ms 66 to Ms64 in a month!
Comment from : James Carter

NorthDakotabrew
I just got my grades back from PCGS for two 1883-O Morgans that I sent in One of them had some scratches in the fields and one on the cheek That coin got an AU55 I still think that was a little low, but ok The other one didn't have a scratch on it and was a PL finish I was expecting MS66 or higher They gave it a MS62 I looked up MS62's on their site to see some pictures of other coins and they look like SH!& compared to the one I sent them I'm going to resubmit mine to ANACS and cancel my PCGS membership They can FO!
Comment from : NorthDakotabrew

Samir Farsane سمير فرسان
Under 1897s, even though they didn't grade it, they still deemed it AU So if you don't get the variation you want with the next grading, you'll be out a lot of grading money for an AU coin
Comment from : Samir Farsane سمير فرسان

Chief Stacker
Talked to my Anacs Rep yesterday, it’s a good time for Anacs to capitalize on PCGS upsetting their customers !!
Comment from : Chief Stacker

Indigone Demon
The nickel should have gotten a FS designation, but arguing grades is like arguing balls & strikes with an umpire Sucks but you're better off cracking it and trying again than arguing over it If that's by design or not is personal opinionbrbrThat 1897-S and 1885 both look cleaned Even if not, would you put that in a straight graded holder if it was your name/reputation on the line? I wouldn'tbrbrNot trying to be bthat guy/b but takes these lessons and learn from them I will give you their variety attribution was (is?) severely lacking for a while The grading has seemed fairly consistent thoughbrbrI love ANACS as much as the next guy, but you're going to lose at a minimum 25 of the value on a Morgan vs one in a PCGS slab Literally any other coin is fine, but Morgans are their own bag and PCGS rules the roost for the series
Comment from : Indigone Demon

Chris Broguiere
Collecting "RAW" coins is always a crap shoot unless you are good at recognizing cleaned coins
Comment from : Chris Broguiere

DJbabynoneck
I agree that their service isn't great That said, you need to temper expectations when sending in ultra moderns like that 87 nickel The coin needs to be spotless to get top pop Im eager to see what anacs says

Here is a vid with a a coin dealer regarding NGC youtube/a-jnr6wRDPM We are stuck in a dilemma where no matter which coin grading company or even card grading companies like PSA they are all making errors etc on all types of collections We are now looking at a company that is a startup developing AI coin grading and processing to eliminate human error What is nice about this company it will give you a whole report of your coin and also what exact determined the final grate based on how modern grading is done and more
Comment from : Dennis Chong

dfyband
Anacs is known to be better for errors, varieties and attributes For extra they’ll even research your coin if you don’t already know what’s going on with it

Stanley Kijek
I don't care what anyone says about my following comment(s), but here's how I see the hobby I say ALL grading services is a bunch of BS, EXCEPT for verifying if an item is genuine or counterfeit I could care less what 'grade' someone would assign an item of mine is It's my opinion that collecting ANYTHING should be a fun and educational hobby, not an avenue where one tries to play 'the crack out game' of seeing how much money they can make All this nit-picking of 'precise' grades, all of these coin varieties that one needs a high power magnifier, or, a microscope to see a minute difference in details to me is a waste of time and causes a lot of confusion to many people An error on something like a 1955 double die cent is significant, an 'error' on something like the 1995 cents that was so minute is just not worth it to me to get excited aboutbrbrI truly believe that the advent of grading services have created a lot of division in the hobby as well as artificially pushed up prices on a lot of things When I began collecting in 1968, most people were busy putting together complete sets (or as best as they could complete them) and not worrying about how high their coins would grade They were happy if they could buy (or, if lucky, find) coins to fill their albums and later upgrade, after learning more about the series they were building For a long time now, there seems to be competition for having 'the best' and these grading services can and do occasionally change their standards on certain coins ("Gradeflation")brbrWhen PCGS and NCG came on the scene, the intention was that coins would be traded like stocks----every coin grading a certain grade would be the same---an MS 65 1881-S Morgan dollar was an MS 65 1881-S Morgan dollar and was worth x--amount That never happened as those MS 65 1881-S Morgan dollars with the same grade could have a much different appearance and have different values, causing confusion to many people I also recall one or both of those companies in the late 1980s initially refused to grade coins after 1964 because at that time coins after 1964 were considered too common With speculators looking for the perfect MS 70 or PR 70 grade and the companies looking to fatten their profits, it was too lucrative for them to resist not grading any coin (or note), so they changed their policy making any item is open to be gradedbrbrI know and don't care that some or all of my above comments will anger some people, but, sorry folks Unfortunately, I don't find collecting to be much fun when I go to shows and hear almost nothing but "How high a grade is it? What's it worth?" I understand that business is business I'm not saying that it's wrong to go for the "big stuff", but I am concerned if the future of the hobby is to grow, we need people who are interested learning about the history of our currency, not just the financial picture I encourage beginners to read as much as they can and start collecting at the bottom working their way up With experience, they can later upgrade and hopefully make fewer buying mistakes Making mistakes happens to almost everyone As the old saying goes, "Knowledge is power" Good luck to all

I am going to try CACG…they just started soft opening on grading

Chadd Cox
Rocky we've discussed this PCGS atrocity many times It simply comes down to the POP Too many stunners drives down the values which in return drives down the desire in the hobby Sad but true unfortunately It's literally a monopoly now because of their past reputation Had it been 10-15 years ago, I bet grades would be more fitting
Comment from : Chadd Cox

Randall Kress
I agree, the phone call center is Mickey Mouse and the supervisors are no better They care less about small guy, they want large dealers and coins MS64 and above
Comment from : Randall Kress

joel p
Alot of fakes are coming out in fake pcgs slabs, it makes me think twice about buying anything in a pcgs holder anacs, ngc are now my go to coin slabs
Comment from : joel p

I use ANACS Accurate grading, 3 week turnaround, reasonable cost, no membership

Good to hear you are sobering up in regards to PCGSRemember the "S" in PCGS stands for "Scam"
Comment from : dancalm peaceful

David Holmes
I have watch quite a few of your vidieos and you think have a variety on every other coin you handle So do you think your right or the top coin grading company in the country? Challenge you to send those exact coins to NGC submitting them as varieties and see how they come back
Comment from : David Holmes

Joshuah Simons86ny
They left a a long piece of string in one of my holders like how did they not see that

Comment from : UnwrappedGollum

Barry Lell
Yes you got hosed I looks like a full stepper to me Its becoming more and more apparent PCGS is becoming more dishonest in their grading You could take 10 different graders and I bet they would not give the exact coin the same grade I think with todays technology the grading system needs to be computerized Set up a coin grading system that scans the coins for different grades and assign the grade to the coin based on the parameters assigned to that grade, scratches, bag marks, damage, wear, ect That would take the guess work and biased grading out of any doubt Most often you could send the same coin to PCGS, ANACS, NGC and get a different grade The price difference between say an MS 64 and an MS65 could be hundreds or even thousands of dollars Only to have a PCGS grader that is truly unfair Just my thoughts
Comment from : Barry Lell

Acoustic Shadow
Cleaned or Polished that 1897 Morgan (4:18) was harshly messed with and deserved a DETAILS grading at the very least Tbh, I'm surprised you even sent that one in to be graded Those scratches, regardless of the cause, make it an ugly coin
Comment from : Acoustic Shadow

Don
I suspect you are going to be disappointed Those Morgans aren't going to get a straight grade PCGS offers a list of the varieties they recognize on their website I understand the frustration, but it takes time to train the eye Grading is tough Cheers!
Comment from : Don

flower2289
According to Vam World there are no varieties for the 1898-O that are recognized by PCGS
Comment from : flower2289

Glenn Goetz
If someone polished it trying to add luster it's the same to me as cleaning it
Comment from : Glenn Goetz

Kevin Hoock
U going to try CAC Grading ?
Comment from : Kevin Hoock

Bradlee Andrew
You have my heartfelt sympathies regarding your frustration with PCGS Several months ago, my LCD discovered two '52 "Superbird" quarters, and he sent them in only to have them both come back fairly recently as just "ordinary" proofs with no variety designation despite the fact that the "S" is very obvious on a close-up view on their TrueView!!
Comment from : Bradlee Andrew

Ehren Krause
If there was ever a company that's showing you what not to do to stay in business PCGS is really stepping on their own toes
Comment from : Ehren Krause

Len Here
I am exclusively ANACS for my grading They are good, as good as the big 2
Comment from : Len Here

alwaysseekingsilver
I can see being upset about the lack of attribution for VAM’s, but in my opinion, all of them that were graded as cleaned were cleaned Look closely at about 2 o’clock on that 1885-O right behind Liberty’s head at about 5:58 to 6:02 of this video, as an example I think those fine scratches there were what they identified as being cleaned versus the scuff marks in front of Liberty’s face The customer service you described, though, was horrible, and I understand why you’re done with them
